You could run from someone you feared, you could try to fight someone you hated. All my reactions were geared toward those kinds of killers – the monsters, the enemies. When you loved the one who was killing you, it left you no options. How could you run, how could you fight, when doing so would hurt that beloved one? If your life was all you had to give your beloved, how could you not give it? If it was someone you truly loved?

Ännu en nu bild från new moon, denna bilden är på Jacobs pappa Billy Black.

Twilight Lexicon Interview: Gil Birmingham

Jen, Be My Escape, had the opportunity to interview Gil Birmingham about his music. Aside from being a talented actor, Gil is a musician as well. Many people who have gone to various conventions, like Eye-Con this weekend in Florida, have gotten to hear Gil perform.

Q: What are the inspirations for your lyrics and music?

My music comes from the emotional place I’m in when I write it.  It’s an outpouring of the soul of those emotions through the guitar.

What genre does your music generally fit into?

My music is classic rock and blues for the most part.

What is the most challenging work as far as creating a song?

Writing the music, the lyrics, getting it produced?  Writing music is not really challenging because it comes from a place of inspiration.  It’s about connecting with what I’m feeling at the time. When you see me play, you understand that the music comes from my heart.  Recording music is more difficult because you have to get a clean cut down without letting the technical aspects of recording get in the way of the creative process. Therefore, E1 Entertainment is in the process of organizing a NEW MOON UK fan event with the cast on November 11 and will let people know further details as soon as they are confirmed.

Här berättar den svenska tjejen lykke li om låten Possibility som kommer vara med i New Moon soundtrack.

Earlier this week the New Moon Soundtrack was finally ann

ounced in its entirety. Each song on the album is exclusive to the soundtrack, including a song by Lykke Li called ‘Possibility’.

The Swedish popstar has been talking about her contributing track, which she wrote after watching an advance screening of the movie.

“It’s true, I’m on the new New Moon Soundtrack wi

th a completely new and exclusive song called ‘Possibility’. I got to see it when I was in LA for a show and an idea immediately rose to my mind… It would take a few weeks before I even had a chance to sit down by a piano but then suddenly I wrote it while having a few days off in Sweden just coming out of a fever. I’m really proud of it and hope you will love it and need it. It’s kind of hard talking about it, cause it’s so open and obvious so my best tip is to actually listen to it when you get a chance…. Lay down on a bed and just listen my love.”

First, I'd like to know, how you got the idea to audition for Demetri?
Charlie: Well, my agent got me the audition in Vancouver. You know I was just looking for another audition. He told me about Twilight and the audition came along and obviously it's a big deal and I just tried my best.

Was it hard for you to prepare for the role? 'Cause Demetri isn't really described in the books.
Charlie: I ... hmmm ... I was allowed to interpret the character to my own taste. So yeah it wasn't that hard to prepare cause all I knew was that I could play my own version of Demetri.

Speaking of Fan hype. What do you prefer: Being famous and stalked or just a little actor and not that famous but with something like privacy?
Charlie: I would never want what Rob [Pattinson] has.

It's crazy isn't it?
Charlie: Yeah definitely. You know what I want is just doing my job, enjoy filming. I'm not into the whole ... you know being on magazines thing. Just keep away from all this hype and do a great job, but obviously if you're doing a movie like Twilight it just comes with it and you have to get along with it you have to be adept to that kind of attention.

Is there a movie from the past you would've loved to be cast for?
Charlie: Oh yeah Definitely Fight Club. I love Fight Club it's a great one

Three things you can't live without?
Charlie: Trance Music ... Running ... aaaand *puts on a cheeky face* no I can't tell you the third one *laughs*

Last but not least: What would you do if you were a girl for a day?
Charlie: *Looks at me as if he thought I was crazy* What the hell are you asking? Oh my god. You can't ask me that question! *Laughs hardly* I can't answer that. Honestly it's a terrific question, but I think I have to leave that to your imagination *laughs even more*.

Taylor Lautner, Christian Serratos, Michael Welch och Noot Sheear var på festen, här kommer några bilder.

If the last two books in the series hadn’t already been written, what do you think Jacob should do to win over Bella?

I don’t think he would have changed anything, and I don’t think he should change anything. Jacob and Edward are extremely different guys and it’s just whether you want one guy or another. Jacob is himself, and he has a relationship with Bella that Edward doesn’t. And Edward has a relationship with Bella that Jacob doesn’t. So I wouldn’t change a thing.

As an actor, how do you make the audience root for Jacob and get invested in his feelings when the outcome of the love triangle is already known?

Well, you try and take things one step at a time. When I’m filming New Moon, I’m not thinking about Eclipse. When I’m filming Eclipse, I’m not thinking about Breaking Dawn. We just have to focus on the movie that we’re doing.

What is it like for your family and friends to see people scream at pictures of you topless?

[Laughs] It’s weird. It’s embarrassing for me, and I’m sure it’s awkward for all of them.

Have you gotten teased about it at family dinners?

Not yet, and I’m hoping that doesn’t happen because I’ll start blushing.

You came into acting from karate. Do they overlap—they seem to share the need for focus and concentration.

It’s a lot of hard work. That’s probably the most I got out of karate: it was a lot of work. A lot of training. And you need that for everything in life.

It’s helped you take on these physical roles with Twilight and the Robert Rodriguez film.

Absolutely. And I love action, so it definitely helps with that.

Everybody has been talking about the muscle that you’ve put on. The furor around actors and their weight changes is something you usually see happen with older actors who are more established. You’re 17—what is that like to have people paying so much attention to your biceps?

It’s different. It was all for the job, and that’s all. I knew that Jacob was going to transform not only mentally, but physically as well, from Twilight to New Moon, and I wanted to be able to portray him correctly for all the fans. That was my motivation. It was a lot of hard work, though.

Does your old karate coach wish you had that much muscle on you back when you were still competing?

I probably wouldn’t have been as flexible, so it wouldn’t have worked out that well. He’s probably thankful.

What do you like about playing Jacob?

I love Jacob and Bella’s relationship. It’s very different from Edward and Bella’s. Jacob and Bella start off as really good friends. They become best friends—they can tell each other anything, they do whatever together, ride motorcycles. I love that. And then their relationship starts growing into more and more, and you wonder if they’re going to go past friends. I love being able to do that. And work with an amazing actress, Kristen Stewart, and all of the help around us, our director Chris Weitz, the whole crew. It’s a lot of fun.

What will draw guys your age to New Moon?

There’s a lot more action than Twilight. It’s more exciting—it has werewolves and vampires, which creates fights because they don’t get along. Not only does the action step up, but the whole story line does as well. Now there’s a third person involved.

It’s been years since we’ve had a good werewolf film—it’s been vampires, then zombies, then vampires again. What’s awesome about werewolves?

They’re different. Werewolves are extremely strong, which is cool. But it’s a bummer because I don’t actually get to play my werewolf. It’s full-blown CGI; it’s either me or a CGI werewolf. So that’s a bummer, but I know they’re going to look awesome in the film. I’m excited to see it.

That wolfness—do you have to bring that animal movement in your human performance?

The only difference is in New Moon, I play pre-transformation Jacob, and post. He doesn’t transform into a werewolf until halfway through the film. For pre-transformation, the books describe Jacob as clumsy. He trips over his own feet—he’s a kid. And as soon as he transforms, he all of a sudden because extremely agile. There’s several scenes that show his new agility, so that was the biggest thing I had to bring out.

Not to jump ahead too much, but Jacob’s love life takes a turn in the fourth book that I think might be hard to translate to people who haven’t read the series. Do you have any thoughts on how to handle his ‘imprinting’ on Bella’s daughter?

I’m sure it would be different. It was definitely a surprise for me when I read the book. But we’re just trying to take it one movie at a time, and nothings been confirmed yet on the fourth, so we’re just staying focused onEclipse at the moment.

What is your favorite thing to do while shooting a movie?

I always carry a football around with me, and there’s a lot of people on set between the crew and the cast who like to play, so I’m always throwing the football around and that keeps me entertained.

Whose career do you want to have?

I’ve always loved Matt Damon. I love the Bourne series. Brad Pitt, Denzel Washington. But I’d also like to change things up. Not only do I like the action movies, the drama movies that all three of those actors do, I’d also love to challenge myself with different roles. Romantic comedies—I think the best examples would be Gerard Butler, Ryan Reynolds.

Ryan Reynolds has been so under-appreciated—he’s amazing.

Tell me then about working with Garry Marshall [Pretty Woman, Runaway Bride] for Valentine’s Day.

It was awesome. I was so glad I got to do that before I went back and filmed Eclipse. Working with Garry—that’s a once in a lifetime thing. It was a lot of fun and I can’t wait to see it when it comes out in February.

When it comes to romantic comedies, he’s the king. If you wanted to get into them, there you are already.

Absolutely. I know—I couldn’t have asked for more.

Are you romancing the other Taylor, Taylor Swift, in it?

Yes, in the movie. Which was a lot of fun.

Did you heart break for her when Kanye jumped in during the video music awards?

Yeah. It was…unfortunate.

What is a movie you love that you’re embarrassed to admit?

The Notebook. I don’t think I should be embarrassed to admit it though—it’s a great movie. I’m not embarrassed. I’m saying it proudly.

One of the things I think is interesting about Jacob is he’s an American Indian character put out there as this gorgeous romantic lead. The last time I can remember that happening, Daniel Day-Lewis or Kevin Costner were involved.

You know, I really haven’t thought of it like that, so that’s interesting? Thinking about that, yeah, it goes back toLast of the Mohicans.

You have some heritage yourself from your mother’s side?

I’m mainly Dutch, German and French. That’s pretty much who I am.

I heard there was also some Ottawa and Potawatomi?

We have no idea how much there is—it’s in my far distant background.

Fair enough. I’m Dutch as well, so way to represent us—we don’t get enough credit either.

Would you ever date a fan?

I don’t exclude anyone…

What has that been like, dealing with the fan experience?

All I can say is it’s mind-blowing. I, myself—and nobody else—ever expected it, so it’s incredible to have the support and the passion of the fans behind us. We’re so thankful because we wouldn’t be here today on movie number three in Vancouver if it wasn’t for them. They’re amazing.

I saw that you have two books written about you on Amazon.

Are you serious?!

One is an unauthorized biography and the other is a 94-page picture book.

Oh my. I guess if it’s unauthorized, then you can’t believe anything. Don’t believe anything you hear—or read.

People could say that you’re half-alien, half-prince.

And everyone would be believing it. That would not be good. It’s different. This whole franchise is unlike anything else. Which is a good thing, it’s awesome.

Do you avoid Googling yourself?

Absolutely. That would not be good if I did that. Definitely try to stay away from that or it could get in your head.

Are you parents doing anything to try to keep your life in check? ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah, there’s millions of girls screaming, but you’re still a normal kid?’

Absolutely. I’m hoping it doesn’t take too much work. I feel the exact same—I’m the same person as before. It’s just a completely different world. I have my world, and then I have Twilight world.

Om du är Team Jacob/Taylor så borde du vara mycket lycklig just nu!

Så här skriver 4tnz:

Hold onto your Team Jacob shirts, ladies, because yourTaylor Lautner dreams could come true!

When asked whether he would date a fan, the buff shapeshiftin' hottie told Box Office Magazine "I don't exclude anyone." Music to our ears!

As for what a date with him might be like? Well, let's just say he won't have any problems watching girlie romantic movies.

His fave flick is... The Notebook!

"I don't think I should be embarrassed to admit it though — it's a great movie. I'm not embarrassed. I'm saying it proudly." Ah, so sensitive! *Gush, gush, sigh, sigh*

Now, if only he would confess to a love of shoe shopping and braiding hair...

MTV Shows

Beyond the big names like Death Cab for Cutie, Muse and Thom Yorke on the “New Moon” soundtrack, there are plenty of unfamiliar artists with songs on the album. Swedish pop singer Lykke Li is lucky enough to get track four on the CD with her song “Possibility.” Be jealous of her: she admitted on her Myspace blog that she like director Chris Weitz's brother Paul already got to see a cut of “New Moon” to inspire her to write a track for the album.

Like all the artists featured on the album, the song she recorded was unique to the film. But unlike the more established bands like The Killers and Bon Iver, Lykke has only been in the industry for about two years. Through sites like Myspace and YouTube, Lykke built up an audience in the United States when she made her second &8212; this time successful — trip across the Atlantic.

Last year MTV's Kurt Loder did a “Rising Star” feature on Lykke Li. Lykke, then 22, said it was thanks to her popularity on Youtube that she had a chance to return to the US. “That’s what got me here. Like, I have an audience before I have a record."

Lykke had made her first trip to overseas when she was 19, and she said she spent her time living in a coacroach-infested apartment in Brooklyn, learning English through improv classes and breaking out her singing career at open mic nights.

When her visa expired, she returned home to Stockholm where her father set her up with his old friend Björn Yttling of Peter Björn and John fame.

"He produced a lot of indie people — 'I hate myself' kind of music,” she said of her initial response to working with Björn. “I didn't know about Peter Björn and John. But I needed somebody to record me. And then we met, and it was a perfect match."

Together they released her first EP, Little Bit, which through the Internet became a hit. She has since released her first full length album, Youth Novels, in 2008. Yesterday, she wrote a post on Myspace about signing on for the "NM" soundtrack.

“I’m really proud of it and hope you will love it and need it. It’s kind of hard talking about it, cause it’s so open and obvious so my best tip is to actually listen to it when you get a chance. Lay down on a bed and just listen my love,” she said on her blog. “Love is a serious matter when it’s real. It’s blood and it’s death. But it's also life, ain't no other way around it.”

Enligt många sidor  så blev Jackson skadad på inspelningen av Eclispe!
Men nu har Summit som hur var bekräftat att han mår bra.

One of the stars of ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ has been injured and was taken to the hospital. Read on for details.

A rep for Summit Entertainment tells ET, “Actor Jackson Rathbone of the ‘Twilight Saga’ movies, was slightly injured yesterday during a fight scene rehearsal. As a precaution, he was driven to the hospital and checked out by a doctor. He’s fine and is back at work on the set of ‘Eclipse’ today.”

Gud, hon är jätteduktig!
Vad roligt att hon spelar gittar och sjunger robert pattinsons never think :)

Moviehole har en ny intervju med Xavier Samuel där han pratar om Eclispe!

Question: Did you know anything about that particular franchise?

Samuel: To be honest, not really. Like, I watched the film on the plane. And at that stage, I hadn't read the books, but I have now. I knew very little about it. I knew that it was extremely popular, and people kind of go crazy for it.

Question: Crazy is an understatement.

Samuel: Yeah. Like, you know, this notion of eternal love, and danger, and - you know, the thing that you love could kill you - that sort of stuff is, like - I guess it's intoxicating for a lot of people.

Question: And you play a vampire in Eclipse?

Samuel: Newborn vampire.

Question: A newborn vampire. Do you do any research on something like this?

Samuel: Sleep in coffins at night, and stuff like that?

Question: Or look at classic horror films that explored vampire culture.

Samuel: I think that I've resisted that temptation, because the vampires, in Twilight, are very different. I think there's a crucial element to portraying something like that is retaining some sort of humanity, and if you can do that, then hopefully it can work, in less of a stereotypical, clichéd kind of way.

Question: Do you have any kind of relationship with Kristen's Bella? I mean, is there a bond of some kind that exists?

Samuel: That's a tricky question to answer, without giving away the plot.

Question: There might be, or there might not be?

Samuel: That's a valid statement. How am I doing evading it?

Question: You're doing very well. David Slade is the third director associated with the franchise.

Samuel: Yeah, David's astonishing.

Question: Now I was wondering whether or not he brings that kind of raw sensibility to this particular interpretation of Twilight.

Samuel: Well, he's such an intelligent, very down-to-earth director. And from what I can gather, the way that he's approaching shooting the film is quite different to the previous two.

Question: Now, is your character in any other books?

Samuel: In Eclipse. Yeah.

Question: Are you prepared for the female adulation that will result from this gig?

Samuel: [LAUGHTER] Look, I don't know how you prepare for something like that. I bet you just sort of take it in stride, and try to manage to lead a reasonably normal life, even if people are following you around while you're getting your coffee.

Question: You realize that you're going to be probably at Comic-Con next year.

Samuel: Probably, yeah.

Question: I covered Comic-Con, and I was talking to Kristen at Comic-Con this year. And it's clearly a very surreal experience, even somebody like her, who's sort of used to it. But, it's - you'll be in for an interesting experience.

Samuel: Yeah. Yeah.

Question: If you treat it with a sense of humor, you'll probably be fine.

Samuel: I think so. And I guess I'm not under the microscope to the degree of intensity that other cast members are, so I'm kind of engaging with it in a way that hasn't been too overwhelming.

Question: The upside of doing a movie like that, I guess, is that it does open up a lot more doors for you. I mean, did you notice that the doors were opening a little bit further, that you're associated with such a big movie?

Samuel: Yeah, certainly. I think - you know, work kind of breeds work. And this opportunity has perhaps opened doors that may not have otherwise been open to me. Yeah. That's a wonderful thing.

I denna intervjun pratar Michael Sheen som spelar Aro som new moon.

You were in a very successful franchise, “Underworld,” and so I was wondering if they’ve talked to you about doing a 4th film?

Michael Sheen: Nobody has spoken to me about it. I heard a rumor…I heard someone saying there might be a 4th film but nobody has actually contacted me about it.

So going into “Twilight: New Moon”, were you nervous about taking this role because you had already come from a franchise like that, or were you more excited for the role? What was your thought process and what was it like making the film with all the hubbub around it?

Michael Sheen: I was mainly excited about it because I knew I would make my daughter very happy. Up front, that was the main reason. And then I read the books and I really enjoyed the books. I didn’t think I was going to, but I really did enjoy them. Then I was concerned that the fans of “Twilight” would be like, “But he’s played a werewolf; we can’t have him as a vampire,” and all that. But it hasn’t been like that. And because it was a very different character and I could sort of lose myself in it, hopefully people won’t have a problem with me having been in this other werewolf/vampire franchise. So when I went to do it, I just loved the character. I relished the opportunity to be there and be part of it. Now I’m just very pleased to have a whole new generation of people I can scare.

You mentioned your daughter. You’re quoted in the NY Post as saying she was a little annoyed when you took the part.

Michael Sheen: Right, well, I think she felt a whole combination of emotions. I think she was a bit overwhelmed by the fact that I was going to be in it. I think she was really excited, but, at the same time, I remember what this was like when I was ten, eleven. If there was something I was really into, the last thing I wanted was for my mom and dad to be into it as well. That’s just annoying. So she was very excited and she cried when I first told her about it. I think it was just her fantasy/imaginative world suddenly colliding with her reality. She didn’t know how she felt about it. She punched me I remember and kicked me. I think that was her sort of frustration with me. In fact it was her mother who said, “Is it because that’s your thing and now daddy’s getting in on it?” And she said, “Yes.” So it was her (as usual) very perceptive mother who got that. But then, very quickly, she made peace with that and then she was just very excited about going to the premiere.

How do you find your inner white rabbit?

Michael Sheen: Everyone has an inner white fluffy animal. It’s such an iconic character that I didn’t feel like I should break the mold too much. I sort of just went with it. It’s a great character and a great story. “Alice in Wonderland” and “Peter Pan”were the first stories growing up that had a huge impact on me and have stayed with me ever since. So to be part of Tim Burton’s version is just a dream come true.

Since those lines are so classic, did you approach it like you would a “Hamlet”?

Michael Sheen: As a sort of cultural iconography, you know you are sort of treading that path. But Tim’s version of the story is not the original version. It’s everything you’d want in an “Alice in Wonderland” but it’s slightly off kilter as Tim Burton is one to do. It’s not like I was doing the same thing as has been done before.

Gillar ni Stephenie Meyers bok The Host(Genom dina ögon), nu kommer den som film!

Från The Twilight Saga:

Producers Nick Wechsler, Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz have used their own money to acquire screen rights to ”The Host,” the first adult novel written by Stephenie Meyer, author of the ”Twilight” series.

Andrew Niccol will write the script and direct.

Meyer’s novel is a love story set in the near future on Earth, which has been assimilated by an alien species of benevolent parasites that call themselves ”Souls.” One such soul, the Wanderer, is fused with a dying human named Melanie Stryder, in an attempt to locate the last pocket of surviving humans on Earth.

Wechsler and the Schwartzes are separately teamed on ”The Road,” the John Hillcoat-directed adaptation of the Cormac McCarthy novel that will be released Nov. 25 by the Weinstein Co. They are also producing the Paul Schrader-scripted ”The Dying of the Light” and an adaptation of Pete Takada book ”An Eye at the Top of the World,” which Ryne Douglas Pearson is adapting.

In addition to writing four volumes of the ”Twilight” series, Meyer has been heavily involved in the screen transfers, and she spurned several overtures for ”The Host.” The producers continued lobbying the author and her UTA reps with a significant offer, a strong vision for the project and a collaborative spirit. Meyer eventually said yes.

In fact, Niccol first came under consideration after Wechsler and the Schwartzes asked Meyer what her favorite science fiction films are. ”Gattaca” and ”The Truman Show” were in her top five; Niccol wrote and directed ”Gattaca” and scripted the Peter Weir-directed ”The Truman Show.”

Niccol most recently wrote and directed Orlando Bloom starrer ”The Cross.”

”We wanted Stephenie to be involved in the adaptation and have her endorse and be part of the creative decisions,” Wechsler said. ”Twilight” has ”proven she knows more about what works than most.”

Summit releases the second adaptation of Meyers’ vampire series, ”The Twilight Saga: New Moon,” on Nov. 20.

Niccol is repped by CAA.

Grattis till henne! <3

Edward : nr 1 . Jacob nr 3 ??

A third family member appears to have joined their ranks.
I think my husband is now officially Team Jacob.
Let me present the evidence.
1. He enjoys watching trailers for New Moon because the wolves "look cool".
2. He has said that he is "kind of excited" to see New Moon because of the wolves.
3. He wants Edward to die... and in his little world, Rob is Edward. "Stupid British vampire" is his term of endearment.
And the most recent addition:
4. Well... I think this is better described if I just relate the conversation to you.
Scene: After imbibing large quantities of alcohol at the bar, B and E come home and turn on the TV, finding some random show about "Hollywood hotties" or some such thing.
B: Charlize Theron... ugh.
E: That's why she's on my list!
B: I don't get it. I get all the other ones, but not Charlize... WHY?
E: She has sexy shoulders.
B: *exasperated sigh* Shoulders?? Whatever.
E: Yes. Shoulders.
E puts in Pirates of the Carribean DVD.
B: Johnny Depp! He's the only man who can pull off manliner. He should go on my list.
E: *agrees* - honestly, I was wasted and I don't recall what he said
B: I only have four people so I can do #1 twice.
E: NO WAY! Ew! I know who #1 is... *disgusted face* *obligatory remark about pale, skinny British vampires*
B: UGH! I wish Heath Ledger was still alive so I could add him. Hmmm....
*alcohol invades B's thought processes*
B: Okay, I am reserving spot #5 for Taylor Lautner when he turns 18!
Wait for it....
E: Good! He's beautiful.
B: *shocked*......
*uncontrollable giggles*

E!Online hade nyligen en inervju med Melissa Rosenberg där de b.l.a pratar om Breaking Dawn och relationen mellan Kristen och Robert.
Vi har tidigare lagt ut en liknande artikel här på bloggen.

Just because Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are such a perfect match on screen,Twilight screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg thinks it's time we mind our own business about what goes once the cameras stop rolling.

"Their chemistry on film is so extraordinary," Rosenberg told us at the Entertainment Weekly/Women In Film pre-Emmy party. "They were beautifully cast for those roles and their chemistry is amazing. I think people often confuse chemistry onscreen with chemistry offscreen.

"I think people should just enjoy what's onscreen and leave their privates lives wherever they are," she continued. "I don't actually know what they are."

So what scoop did Ms. Rosenberg tell us about our fave vampire movies? Read on to find out…

First up, Breaking Dawn. Rosenberg is not allowed to could not confirm she's going to be tackling the script. "That's still up in the air," she said. "We're still talking and nothing's been decided."

Eclipse's Riley (Xavier Samuel) will have a much bigger presence in the movie than he has inStephenie Meyer's novel. "This is a character that's really interesting and I got a chance to flesh him out," Rosenberg said, adding, "It's going to be really interesting watching the relationship between Riley and Victoria [Bryce Dallas Howard] growing."

As for the next flick to be released, New Moon, she said, "There's a lot of things that go on in New Moonthat expand on the book. The conflict at the end with the Volturi is an example. Building on them is going to be really intriguing for the fans."

Among the other guests at the EW/WIF bash was Twilight's original Victoria, Rachelle Lefevre, who is doing just fine since her dramarama with Summit Entertainment, thank you very much. "To be honest, I sort of feel like I have everything," the ginger beauty glowed. "I have an amazing boyfriend, I love my house, I'm wearing a great Jay Godfrey dress and I'm at an Emmy party."

Radar Online hade en intervju med Edi Gathehi!

Random Things

Här kan du läsa en liten bit av inervjun:

Radar: How scary is your scene?
: Let’s just put it this way. I told Stephenie Meyer that my goal would be to scare every 14 year-old girl, and she looked at me and said “Edi, you’re so sweet and you have such a little baby face, no one is going to be scared of you at all.” Then she saw the movie and the dailies said, “OK Edi, you scared me!” And I said “That means a lot coming from you,” especially since she told me I wasn’t even going to be able to BE scary!

Radar: Kristen seems so sweet, was it hard to play someone who wants to kill her?
I can get into character. I don’t care how sweet you are, if the character needs me to be a certain way then that’s the way I’m going to be.

Radar: What do you think about Taylor? He is pretty much the buffest man around.
I saw it happen gradually but it’s still pretty phenomenal. The best way I can describe it is he was 16 when he started lifting and he gained 30 pounds, so basically God said, “This is your role. This is what I’m going to give your body. I’m going to allow your body to be able to do this because this is your destiny.”

Radar: Justin Chon told us about going to Wolf Camp, did you go to Vampire Camp?
I went to Vampire Camp for Twilight but not for New Moon. I went to Wolf Camp one day and trained with the guys. Vampire Camp is better.

”Their chemistry on film is so extraordinary,” Rosenberg told us at the Entertainment Weekly/Women In Film pre-Emmy party. ”They were beautifully cast for those roles and their chemistry is amazing. I think people often confuse chemistry onscreen with chemistry offscreen.”’

”I think people should just enjoy what’s onscreen and leave their privates lives wherever they are,” she continued. ”I don’t actually know what they are.”

INTERVJU MED PETER FACINELLI! hade nyligen en intervju med charmiga Peter Facinelli.
De prata b.l.a om The Twilight Saga tillåtelse, new moon och mycket mer.

How are workouts and filming going up in Vancouver?

Peter: It’s been going great, I just filmed a scene where I’m running through the woods chasing Victoria. They had me on this super-fast treadmill that gets pulled by a truck. That’s how we show vampire speed. Gets kind of tiring, my legs feel like jello after a while. But its fun! The fight training is fun also. This one has a lot of action for us to play.

Were you this physically fit before training or did you hit the gym regularly before training for the movie?

Peter: I’m off and on with the gym. I don’t like to lift heavy things, but I do do yoga just to keep my muscles toned and stay flexible. When I started this, I had gone on a hamburger binge, so I think I dropped about 10 pounds since I’ve been fight training, and I dropped about 4% body fat in the last month.

Did Kellan doing hot-yoga with you help you with that?

Peter: *laughs* I actually got him into the yoga. He does lift a lot and I said “if you mix the stretching in with the lifting it helps build your muscles”. I just wanted someone to go with, so I kind of convinced him to go. *laughs*

The way that David [Slade] is tweeting, it seems like you guys are filming the movie from the end to the beginning.

Peter: I think we jump around. Whenever you’re filming you jump around a lot. It’s all location dependant.

Do you have anything in common with Carlisle?

Peter: Yeah. I like to think I’m compassionate towards people. And I have a family, so I know what its like to be the patriarch of the family. Those are the two underlying qualities that I think we share.

A few of the other cast members have spoken out and said that they don’t see any reason why the fourth book wouldn’t be adapted to a movie. Are you on the same wavelength as them?

Peter: I’m a fan of the books. I’d like to see all four of them made into a movie, but unfortunately that’s not my decision to make. If the fourth one goes, I’d love to be a part of it. I’m hoping that New Moon does well enough for them to pull the trigger on the fourth book. It was the same thing with Twilight. When we were filming Twilight, we didn’t know if we were actually going to be doing a second movie. We all signed on to do a three-picture deal, but we weren’t going to know until Twilight came out. When Twilight came out and did well, they pushed the green button, and we’re kind of in the same boat with this one. If New Moon does well, and the fans say they want more then we’re hoping that Summit will push the green button on the fourth one. At this point it’s in the fans hands.

I don’t think you’re going to have any problems in that case.

Peter: Great, I hope so. I think the fourth book is really interesting, and it’s a really great family dynamic. I’d love to do it.

It’s a heavy book; you would think it would be a very long movie.

Peter: I think they can trim a lot of fat and still have the same story in there. Stephenie has a lot of detail in the book. Sometimes you can do that visually and not have to explain it. So I’m hoping that it all works out.

Death Cab for Cutie said that they were invited to see a 5-hour long cut of New Moon. Is there a 5-hour long New Moon out there?

Peter: No. *laughs* I don’t even think we shot 5 hours worth of footage. I saw a rough cut of New Moon and it was about 2 hours and 10 minutes, and they were going to go in and shave some time out of that. For me though, I love every minute, the more the better. I was getting chills just watching it on screen, seeing the book come to life.

Have you seen the trailer that was shown at the VMA’s?

Peter: Yes I did! I thought that was great. People don’t think I’m in that, but if you look when Aro breaks the guys neck, I’m actually right in the background. A little fuzzy, but I’m there.

Has the makeup process become any easier to deal with?

Peter: They toned it down, because in some scenes in Twilight it’s thick. So I know they toned it down, but its still a process. It’s still definitely a process. Its just part of the job, so I get used to it. I don’t dislike it. It’s really fun for me to sit in the makeup trailer in the morning and go through the process and look up, and Carlisle looks so different than I do. It really intrigues me when sit down in the morning and then by the time I’m done I look like a completely different person.

Do you have any favorite music you like to workout to or listen to in general?

Peter: I like Death Cab for Cutie. It just so happens that they are doing some stuff for New Moon. But I was on the set and we were doing some flashback scenes with the Volturi and I was actually listening to Death Cab for Cutie, everytime.

Are you excited to be coming back to New York during your visit to Middletown?

Peter: I am! I’ve actually been traveling upstate with my father since I was little. I wanted to go stay up at the cabin my father still has, but I actually have to work on Nurse Jackie in New York on Monday. I’m starting up Nurse Jackie this week, and now I’m going to be doing both Eclipse and Nurse Jackie at the same time. So I’ll be shooting Nurse Jackie for one week, then going back to Eclipse and shooting a week with them. Then three weeks after, I do three days on Eclipse and go and shoot three days of Nurse Jackie. I just go back and forth. I’ll be flying back and forth between New York and Vancouver.

How does it feel to be Mr. World Twitternelli?

Peter: *laughs* What’s great about that is, I get really excited when massive groups of people get together for a common cause, no matter what it is. When I did that bet with Rob DeFranco; here all these people came together for this cause, even though it was silly. It was a silly little bet, but it was a really big lesson to show people, look what happens when people come together for something. I wanted to demonstrate that, and so we turned this little bet into something positive by getting the Affliction clothing store to donate $10,000 to the Christopher Reeve foundation. I wanted to send the message of, “hey, even though you guys came together for this silly little thing, when people come together for a cause, it can be something really powerful and something really positive.” The same thing with World Twitter, they all got behind me and voted for me and then I got voted in.

Have you received the bird yet?

Peter: I have gotten the bird many times, but not from Twitter. *laughs* Usually when I’m driving. *laughs*

Be honest, have you ever gotten a spa treatment with Jennie?

Peter: *laughs* Yes. I think couples massage, and maybe couples facials. When you’re married and you’re wife’s doing something, you just kind of go along for the ride. I’ve gotten a manicure for my wedding, and then for Carlisle I get manicures, because for his character you have to have manicured nails. I like chewing my nails. It takes me every bit of restraint to not bite my nails. I like to self groom.

Is there anyone you would love to work with in the future?

Peter: I’d love to work with Sean Penn and Gary Oldman.

Anything you would like to say to your NY fans?

Peter: I’m coming back home! It’s fun being able to go back for Nurse Jackie because I get to come home. For 3 months out of the year I get to come home and see my sisters, my mom and dad, and my nieces and nephews. So I’m excited! This is also the first signing I’m doing in New York so I hope it goes well, and maybe I’ll do more.

Jadå, på fredag sägs det att new moon soundtrack kommer ut!
Jag(Nilli) personligen tror inte jag ska köpa det då på fredag men jag ska självklart köpa det.

The New York Times har skrivit en artikel:

Ms. Patsavas, known for her work on television shows like “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Gossip Girl,” said she was confident that the “New Moon” soundtrack would include Thom Yorke, Bon Iver and Band of Skulls. Death Cab for Cutie’s “Meet Me on the Equinox,” the first single, had its premiere on on Sunday, as part of a “Twilight” promotional blitz surrounding MTV’s Video Music Awards. There has been extensive speculation in the music industry all summer about who else would be included. Representatives of Grizzly Bear and the Killers said those groups would be on the soundtrack, but Ms. Patsavas declined to comment, saying that the track list would be completed and announced on Friday.

On the new actors in the flick: “Bryce Dallas Howard and Xavier Samuel [right] are really great to have on set. Everyone is so professional and nice. It’s become a really huge, fun family.”

On what she does during her off time on set: “I brought Titanic with me this time. I’ve also been listening to a lot of MIA.”

Jag är på Taylor Lautner humör idag(jag vet inte varför...) så dagens bild får bli på honom! ;)

Här kommer en mycket lång intervju med Chris!

How do you direct a film when everyone knows the story and ending?

In a way, that’s an advantage. That people know and love the book means that people know and want to see the movie, which is what you hope for when you’re making a film. It’s a fine balance between being as faithful as possible to the spirit of the book, and bringing changes. I regard myself as fan as much as any other, and the way that I see the book in my head is just like any other fan’s ability, except that I happen to have tens of millions of dollars at my disposal to realize that vision. One hopes that it’s a strong enough envisioning of the book that people will be amused and entertained and excited even though they know how things are going to end.

One of my favorite New Moon conspiracy theories is that the producers are ordering Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson to keep their love hidden because it will affect the way people will perceive the story, even though the story is already known even until the next two books.

The fans know what the Volturi look like or what Taylor Lautner as Jacob’s amazing bod is going to look like—the producers know these things are big points of curiosity about whether we’ve been able to be faithful to people’s notions. And they want to parse these things out over time. [Laughs] It is a conspiracy, but the conspiracy is called marketing.

There are so many films about vampires, vampire romances, teenage romances—what is it aboutTwilight’s love triangle that’s catalyzed this phenomenon?

To me, it has a lot less to do with vampires and werewolves than with readily identifiable emotional situations. Bella has a choice between the loving friend who’s nearby and the distant, unattainable object of her affections. That’s a pretty common scenario, and unfortunately also, so is being dumped. I know I’ve experienced it—pretty much anybody except the incredibly lucky has experienced it—and the supernatural element of things just allows for a degree of wish fulfillment. We can play out these scenarios on a grand scale. When you get broken up with, you’d like to think that if you just did something brave enough, something amazing enough, you could rescue the relationship that’s been broken. And you would like to think that the person who’s left you has left you for your own good against their heart. That’s usually not the case, but in New Moon it happens to be, so that’s a lovely way to fulfill one’s wishes. A great thing that Summit as a studio understands is that there are dark places that the movie has to go in order for it all to work. They’re not afraid of the angst and the sorrow that’s in the book. In a way, the film can be kind of a throwback to weepies as well as very cutting edge in terms of visual effects.

It’s got this operatic tone that’s like soma for anyone with a broken heart.

We’re probably going to put out one of the greatest breakup mix albums of all time on the soundtrack. Alexandre Desplat doing the music means there’s this sense of French Romanticism that goes back to Alexandre’s mentor Maurice Jarre and everything he did for David Lean’s movies—going back to Debussy and Ravel and that kind of stuff. There is a lot of luxuriating in the emotionalism of the piece. I think I’m probably now supposed to add at this point that there’s great stuff for guys as well. But leave that aside for the moment.

You talked a minute ago about Pattinson being an ‘unattainable male.’ We always see stories about men pursuing a woman. It’s rare to see stories where a woman really pursues a man, and when you do, it’s usually handled like All About Steve, where it teeters into comic stalking.

Exactly. You always hear about the male gaze in films, but this seems to have such a strong female gaze. One of the prerequisites is how many times Pattinson and Lautner take off their shirts.

It’s there in the script, and that’s one for the ladies, really. Women have been objectified plenty in Hollywood films. And there’s still sort of a chasteness to the objectification in Twilight and New Moon. One approaches it hopefully with a bit of tact—not just an exercise in beefcake peddling. You hope when you’re shooting any kind of above-the-waist nudity that it suits the demand of the moment, it isn’t just in there for the hell of it. That being said, I think we did come to Comic-Con with a lot of muscles and it was really fun to see the reaction to it. I’ve tried to make films that take into account the female members of the audience. Even American Pie, which comes from a genre that is notoriously misogynist.

I would agree with that. In American Pie, you make a point to show the girl’s side of why she would or wouldn’t do it on Prom Night—it was fair.

We were trying to say, too, that they were really in control of the scenario, and the guys were more or less hopeless schlubs just trying to navigate these waters. The girls were in control of what happened when.

American Pie—like Twilight—was one of those films that made stars of everyone in the cast. This time around, do you find yourself wanting to give this new generation career or life advice?

I don’t particularly feel qualified because I’m not in their situation. I don’t have to deal with that fame; I’m able to turn it on or off—or rather, the publicity department is able to turn it on and off. I don’t walk around and get recognized. I’m recognized in inverse proportion to my nearness to Rob. There’s some kind of equation I could work out. Basically if I’m within 50 yards of Rob, I matter. If not, I just don’t. I think that they don’t really need my advice because they are determined to remain true to their own life, in spite of anything that might turn their heads. That’s the only advice I could give them: that they stay the clever and decent people who they already are. And I don’t think they’re manifesting any problems in that regard.

I heard that the on-set experience has been like living in A Hard Days Night.

It was like that in Italy. Although it wasn’t so much running and chasing. I’d compare it more to The Birds. You look around and then there’s suddenly ten girls over there. And then there’s 20. Then 30, then 40. And then suddenly the street you’re intending to walk down to get to your next location or lunch is just blocked and there’s no way to get through. Or you will get through, but it’ll take you hours because you’ll take pictures and sign autographs. Which is fair enough because they’ve come all this way and they’re really the reason that we’re there. Or you’ll have to be a real meanie and just run past. I’ve developed a preoccupied look that sometimes works. I try to seem as though there’s something going really badly at a different location, and sometimes that gets me out of situations.

Have there been any crazy fan experiences?

The crazy thing has been how extraordinarily supportive, friendly and enthusiastic people are. They really want this to be done right, but they’re not hyper-critical. There’s a degree of good faith between the people making the movie and the people who want to see it, and we are innocent until proven guilty. And that’s great because that’s not always the case with fan boys. I did encounter this Italian girl in Montepulciano who then appeared in Vancouver who speaks impeccable English. That’s one of the reasons I recognized her. She came up to me and said, ‘Do you remember me?’ and I said yes, I did. And then her mom was there and I sort of wanted to ask her mom what else she and her kid were up to because it seemed like she should be in school, but it’s really not my place.

Which other book would you love to film?

To be honest, I would love to film The Golden Compass. I would love to have been allowed to do my own cut ofThe Golden Compass because I did film that book and there could be a real version of it, but it would cost millions of dollars to complete with the special effects. The cut was taken away from me and that was a devastating experience. That’s the other book that I would like to film. I wouldn’t have the strength to go through another three years to do it, but it is a great shame that the fear of the ideas in the book led the studio to do a version which I think caused its own downfall.

It was a beautiful film, the look of it.

It’s a good-looking film. And there are moments where it’s precisely the way I wanted it to look or to feel. But it’s been put through a blender so that the interesting ideas that it had in it and the real emotional heft of the story was lost. And that’s a shame because I take very seriously my responsibilities to an author in trying to represent their vision on film. Failing Philip Pullman in that regard is a big sadness for me because he’s one of the authors I most admire in the world.

Between the author and the studio, that can be a lot of weight.

It is, and I have to say that Summit understands that the fans want to see the book in the film, not just a popcorn movie.

It’s almost a safety net, having that many people know the book already very well, more than American audiences knew The Golden Compass.

Yes, American audiences weren’t that familiar with The Golden Compass. Once you start monkeying around with the plot and characters and key concepts in the film, you really lose what made the book appeal to anyone in the first place. If you take the example of The Lord of the Rings, it wasn’t that it made everybody into a geek overnight. People were able to see what had been great about it in the first place, and the adherence to story and character really paid off, even though a lot of people went to see it who hadn’t read Lord of the Rings in the first place and didn’t know anything else.

What can you tell me about The Game, the film adaptation of the Neil Strauss guide to picking up women?

I can tell you that Rawson Thurber [director of Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story] is going to direct it, and that he is rewriting it now. It’s an attempt to walk a very fine line with a project like this. It has things to say about the relationships between men and women and it could be perceived as misogynistic or as a textbook in how to manipulate women. But it’s really not about that—it’s about the weaknesses of men and women more than anything else.

And your brother Paul also has a high school vampire movie coming out?

He does. That was not planned at all. It’s very funny. A week before I was offered New Moon, I was wondering why there were so many vampire movies around. Paul had wanted to indulge a long-standing love of the grotesque, which the Cirque du Freak series allowed with its visuals and that sort of perversity—not perversion, but perversity—of the books and the script. It’s a funny coincidence. Actually, if you want to take it one step further, my grandmother was a silent film actress in the Mexican version of Dracula. They shot it on the same sets as the Todd Browning version, but they started shooting at midnight. My grandfather, who was a producer for Universal at the time, was courting my grandmother, and when talkies came out, there were no parts for women with strong Mexican accents. He convinced Carl Laemmle at Universal that you could make a profit by using the same sets during the night and making Spanish-language versions of the same film. Hence, the Spanish Dracula. It’s a film geek delight to compare the Todd Browning version to the Mexican version.

And if your grandfather hadn’t done that, you might not exist.

This is true. If it weren’t for vampires…

Vad kul!

David Slade twittlade detta:

Robert Pattinson may need to have a little chat with Jack Huston.

Eclipse's superhot newbie isn't anticipating having to face screaming fanggirls clawing, pushing, shoving and biting for his attention.

The actor plays Royce King II, the good-on-paper fiancé to Nikki Reed's Rosalie Cullen, in a flashback sequence.

"I don't think I will [face the madness] because of my part," he told E! News at the G-Star Raw fashion show. "I'm actually kind of a nasty guy. I'm her fiancé who ends up basically trying to rape her. It's rather horrible."

There's a chance we may never have met Royce and the small but meaty part may not have even existed were it not for David Sladetaking a meeting with Huston.

"I went in to the director and he very sweetly wrote this part up for me," the actor admits. "It was kind of a nice compliment from him."

Now, as for those costars of his…

Sadly, Huston has only spent one day on the set thus far, and that was with Reed, much to his relief.

"She's actually a real sweetie and the very first day she made me feel very welcome," he says. "We were away from the madness which is, I think, Robert and Kristen. I think they have hundreds of incessant fans following them, which, fair enough. We were quite lucky. We were in the park, beautiful, and it was fun."

The hottie, who's often compared to Johnny Depp, doesn't worry that those incessant fans will throw things at him because of the nature of his "cameo"-sized character.

"I hope not," he says. "I'll be like, 'It's not me, I'm an actor! I'm not really evil. I'm a nice guy.'"

Huston, who also can be seen in ABC's upcoming show Eastwick and walking red carpets alongside his girlfriend, So You Think You Can Dance's Cat Deeley, is humbled to be involved in the vampy franchise.

"It's a great film to be a part of," he says. "This is a small part, but a relevant part in the movie. I think it'll be cool. Hopefully."

Movie Trailers - Movies Blog

Ett interssant inlägg jag hitta på Twilightsweden, det är en artikel om new moon soundtrack. har en intervju med The Used som berättar lite mer om deras låt som kommer att vara med i soundtracket.

The Used

Publicity for the Twilight sequel New Moon is heating up as the film’s release date, November 20, creeps closer. *squeals excitedly* reported this morning that Death Cab For Cutie will have the lead single for the New Moon soundtrack, a song titled ‘Meet Me On The Equinox’.

But we have some more exciting New Moon goss!

When we spoke to Bert McCracken of The Used yesterday, he revealed that a new song of theirs entitled ‘For You I Would’ was set to be the title track!

“It’s gonna be a big deal,” Bert told “We wrote a really awesome original song for the movie.”

Bert also said that former Nine Inch Nails musician Danny Lohner produced the track.

Tennessee rockers Paramore were catapulted to international stardom when their single ‘Decode’ was chosen as the title track to ‘Twilight’. The ‘New Moon’ soundtrack hits stores on October 20.

I understand that right after the news broke that you had joined the Twilight family, fans went crazy and you got some intense reactions from your friends. Has the hype died down at all for you?

Yeah. I mean at first everybody was going crazy and everyone was congratulating me. They’re still all really excited and it hasn’t…no, they haven’t calmed down that much. *laughs* I have a Twitter account, and that hasn’t calmed down at all, I’m still getting the same amount of followers. Everyday. On the first couple of days I was getting A LOT, and now its not quite as many everyday. But it’s been about the same pace. My friends have calmed down a little bit, but they are still really really really excited.

I’m sure you are too

Yeah I am. I mean, I used to be just jumping up and down everyday. Every time somebody mentioned it, I was like “yay!”. But I’ve calmed down.

It’s been almost a month…do you feel more comfortable going into the role or are you still adjusting to its attached intensity?

I’ve gotten used to the idea. At first I was completely shocked and I couldn’t believe it. But when you think about it, it really is just like any other set. It’s just that it happens to be a very, very famous movie. But it’s not really any different than anything else.

So you’re approaching it the way you would any other role?

Are you making any physical changes for your role in Eclipse?

Well, I was hoping that they were going to cut my hair, actually. *laughs* My hair is so long, and it’s nice. But it’s too long, and it drives me crazy all the time. I don’t think they are going to cut my hair, but oh well. I already do gymnastics class. I don’t have to do it for the movie, but I’m just doing it anyway.

How do you keep your skin so clear and flawless?

First of all, I wash my face in the morning and at night. That helps a lot. I moisturize it a lot with Olay Classic Moisturizing Lotion for Sensitive Skin because I have very sensitive skin and I have to be really careful with what I use. Some moisturizers are too heavy and it’s hard to find the right one. I also wash my face with Oxy Cleansing Pads which helps a lot.

What nationality are you?

I’m part Austrian and British and French.

Do you have any favorite beauty products?

I like using natural products, so my favorite shampoo is by Desert Essence Organics. It’s raspberry and it smells really good, and it makes my hair shiny, and I love it.

Who would you like to work with in the future?

I’ve always wanted to do a movie with Johnny Depp. I really like his acting, and it would be great to do a movie with him. I’ve done a movie with Renee Zellwegger before, and she is the nicest person on the planet and I would love to work with her again.

Who has been the most influential or inspiring person in your acting?

I just think that everyone who has been really supportive and helped me a lot. I don’t have one person. My friends and family.

Who is your beauty icon?

Hmm. I haven’t even thought about that. Queen Latifah. I think she’s really beautiful. She has such a nice smile.

3 beauty products you can’t live without?

*laughs* I don’t think I could live without the stuff I use on my hair. The brand is called K-pak, and it’s for shine. My hair can get pretty frizzy sometimes, so I don’t think I could live without that. If I didn’t have that my hair would be frizzy all of the time.

And number two. Lip Balm. Sometimes during the winter, my lips can get dry.

One more thing I use is a natural mineral powder. I don’t like wearing a lot of makeup. A lot of people who wear so much makeup when they are younger, get to the point where they can't go out, ever, without makeup. I try not to wear it very much so I don’t get used to the way I look like that. I think all of the natural mineral powder brands are good, but the brand I am using right now is Physicians Formula.

What has been your most interesting role been so far? Why?

Let’s see. One of the last things I did was a short film called “Everything’s Coming Up Rosie”, and I played an autistic girl, which is something I’ve never done before. It’s pretty different than everything else I’ve done.

Det kanske vore trevlig med en liten intervju från Anna nu mitt i allt VMA snack, eller? :)

Q&A: Anna Kendrick talks 'New Moon,' 'Scott Pilgrim' and her breakthrough in 'Up in the Air'

Q: Are you enjoying all your press commitments to day?

Part of me feels like I'm under hypnosis, but I'm trying to stay focus and respond.  And for all I know, I'm answering in French and I don't even know it.

Q: You're still speaking in English to me so that's a good sign.  When did you first see the completed 'Air'?

Last night was the first night I saw it with an audience and it was really beautiful. I didn't want it to end. It was everything I wanted it to be.

Q: From the critics I've talked to the response to your performance has been pretty euphoric.  What has that reception been like?

I went out the night before the premiere and I was really shocked by how many people who approached me had seen the press screening and that was really exciting and that got me pretty jazzed to see it with an audience. I'm glad that that happened, because I think I would have been a little too overwhelmed by the audience response. I got a wee bit emotional.

Q: Many actors would have seen the names Jason Reitman and George Clooney on a project and accepted it without even reading the script.  What was your reaction to actually reading the party itself?

When I read the script it was so damn beautiful I just thought, 'OK, this is one of those things where the cover letter says that George Clooney is attached, but there is no way that's going to happen.  He's attached but he's really not going to do it. This role is so beautiful, the script was so beautiful and whoever ends up in this role will be brilliant.' And then when I got it and realized George was really doing it that was like gravy.

I was so grateful to Jason Reitman for writing this role for a young woman. It has nothing to do with romance and sex.  She's just smart and interesting and I kept waiting for her to disappear in the script because I knew she never got romantically involved in the little blurb and I kept waiting for the moment where she sort of disappeared and she had her side scenes and that's it. There tends to be an attitude of what purpose is this young woman serving if she's not taking her clothes off. I just can't say how lucky I feel.

Q: It's funny, I recognize a lot of my friends in Natalie.  Is there anyone you particularly based her on for your performance?

Jason has based Natalie on some women in his life that he knows and he loves very much. I met one of them halfway through filming, but that was definitely interesting.  I can see why he loves these women and why he loves Natalie.  He describes Natalie and all these women that their biggest problem is constantly being the smartest person in the room.  And that at some point in that person's life they have a realization that all the other elements of their life are not just going to fall into place.  It's based on some real incredible women so I'm sure that's why it feels so real.

Q: Did you relate to her at all personally?

I think in a lot of ways I can relate to Natalie, but we want very different things.  The speech about thinking she'd be married with a kid and have a Grand Cherokee by the time she was 23 has never registered with me.  My parents had me late, they got married late, they had kids late.  My mom for the majority of my upbringing was the breadwinner, so I just have very different ideas of what my life was supposed to turn out to be. I'm sure There will be plenty of surprises along the way and I have unrealistic ideas about things I assume will just work out, but I guess I'm going to just have to cross that bridge when I get to it.

Q: You've been on Broadway and experienced the 'Twilight' phenomenon, but how nervous were your were you not to act with George Clooney?

I've never been more terrified in my life to do this movie.  It was months of knowing and being terrified, but within five minutes of talking to him you realize how easy it's going to be and how easy he's going to make it for you.  To not just meeting him and realizing he's another human being like the rest of us, I completely appreciate he goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable and to make you feel like you can do your job around him.  I think that's a skill he's had to develop because he's been 'George Clooney' for a long time and he probably is aware of how people get around him.  And he's a generous enough person and a generous enough actor to go out of his way to make you feel like whatever you have to do on the screen, he's going to make sure that happens.

Q: There is a very powerful scene in 'Air' when one of the women your character is firing sort of snaps back at Natalie and she ends up having a breakdown.  You're particularly strong in that moment.  Can you talk about shooting that?

The one with Tamila Jones, for some reason I had pictured that character and that delivery so different and the way when she came to the table read and it's this small scene I remember that I felt like she cut through me, so that part I definitely have to give her a ton of credit for that scene.  I felt she could saw right through me.

Q: OK, the 'Twilight' questions you knew were coming.  Did you shoot 'Air' after 'New Moon'

[Actually] I went to shoot 'New Moon' while I was still shooting 'Up in the Air.' I had to run back and forth.

Q: Was that hard?

It's funny because the characters are so different and I was wrapped up in Natalie world, but Jessica, the character that I play in the series, is such a silly girl it was almost like a little escape to go and just play and just monologue about nothing.  Basically, I would go up to Vancouver and shoot a scene where something was [already] written, but [director] Chris Weitz would tell me to keep talking because we had to do all of it in one take as a 'walk and talk' and have it feel the space. So, he'd just tell me to say random stuff and it was like stretching in the middle of doing a marathon.

Q: Have you finished shooting 'Eclipse'?

I filmed a majority of what I do and I have like two more days left. My parts, the human characters get shrunk down [in "Eclipse"].

Q: Do you know if you'll be back for 'Breaking Dawn' if and when those movies happen?

It does feel like to us -- when I say 'us' I assume people know I'm referring to the human characters -- it feels like it's probably coming to a close.  We appear in a dream sequence or one sequence in the book of of 'Breaking Dawn' so I don't know if we'll be back for it and we're only signed up for three, because the three books were only out when we made the first film.  So, I don't know that we will be involved in 'Breaking Dawn,' but it's a really fun thing to go back to. Particularly when I go back for this short period of time it feels like I'm going back to summer camp and I'm seeing my friends from summer camp.

Q: You've dealt with three different directors this year.  Has that been refreshing? Have you enjoyed it?

I am trying to pit them all against each other. I'm trying to get Jason and Chris Weitz in a fight, (Laughs.)  No, it's so fun it's so interesting. I'm probably the luckiest girl on earth, let's be honest.  It is really fun to work with everybody.

Q: Can you compare them?

Jason, the thing I have to say about him is he's so brilliant and intuitive it's annoying (Laughs.), because I like to think I'm not an easy read and I don't like somebody being able to tell my every mood, but he does it with everybody so I feel a little bit better about it.  Chris Weitz, never saw him sweat, always made everybody feel as though they were free to be happy and just chill out on set even though I'm sure it was a really stressful set because there was a lot to do.  Edgar Wright more energetic than anybody on set even though he probably gets two hours of sleep a night which is incredibly valuable on a set like that where you are shooting essentially an action film but you're shooting it in these tiny little pieces and energy is hard to come by.

Q: I read the 'Scott Pilgrim' books, have they expanded your character of Stacy at all?

Basically my part is yelling at Michael Cera on the phone (Laughs.), but I got to meet the real quote on quote Stacy Pilgrim, Bryan Lee O'Malley's sister Stacy and she said, y'know, she used to call him up whenever she thought he was doing something wrong and yell at him about his life. So, that was just a blast.  And, yes, it is a little disappointing to be involved in 'Twilight' and not be vampire or a werewolf and be in 'Scott Pilgrim' and not be in one of the bands or get to fight, but I'm happy to come in and be the snarky sister in a project like that with so many amazing young actors.

Q: So do you have anything else up coming or are you just going to spend the fall enjoying the 'Up in the Air' ride?

I'm gonna try to. Who knows what will happen, but as of now this is it and I just want go on the ride with this film.  Happy and willing.

"Up in the Air" is currently schedule for release this December.
"The Twilight Saga: New Moon" opens nationwide on Nov. 20.

Ingen svart bil för Edward .

Det är tydligen att bilderna från Eclipse inte stämmer .
Edward ska köra samma silvriga bil som i New Moon .

Summit Answer:
“Edward is driving the exact same car he drove in NEW MOON.”

Idag är det världens bästa och fantastigaste Isabella Marie Swan fördelsedag!

Kellan Lutz, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart

Don't expect a threesome with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Kellan Lutz—or even just a lunch date—to happen anytime soon.

They don't hang.

"They're just so complex, and I like to laugh and smile," Twilight's Emmett Cullen told E! News at the W Hotel's lounge backstage at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week just before the Monarchy show.

As for everyone's favorite couple…

Yeah, Kellan's not sure either.

"I don't know what's going on. I have no idea," he claims. "I don't hang out with Rob or Kristen."

And while he promises that "a romance" is not the reason for this, he also quite clearly prefers one half of Robsten over the other.

"They are attractive humans, yes they are," he admits. "I'm nice with Rob also. I look great with him too. I think I look better with Rob…Rob's awesome. I love him to death."

But don't get the wrong idea. Despite word of a breakup, Kellan was chilling right next to 90210'sAnnaLynne McCord in that fashion-friendly lounge, and they both had colds, so you do the math.

Sniffles aside, Kellan says shooting Eclipse has its pros and cons and, of course, it all comes back to Rob and Kristen.

"It's going great. We all love Vancouver. It's just that there's just so many paparazzi everywhere," he admits. "We've been moving around to new places like every two weeks. Especially for Rob—we feel bad for him. Like, we go out to cast dinners, and whenever Rob's shooting, that's when we can have free time because usually that's when everyone is trying to shoot Rob or Kristen. So then we can actually be free to walk around the city and shop and go out to eat. You know, when we want to do cast dinners, it's tough because you can't just chill."

Instead, Kellan plays board games like Risk and Clue with Ashley Greene and friends while Pattz and that girl whose name he hardly mentioned do whatever "complex" people do.

Vilket team är du, Team True Blood eller Team Twilight?

In part two of's exclusive interview with Chaske Spencer, best known as Sam Uley in New Moon, the second film in the Twilight Saga, the actor opens up about his chemistry with his beautiful co-star Tinsel Korey, what a pro Kristen Stewart is, and even what he thinks the werewolf tattoo means!

Radar: When you first booked the role how long did you have to keep it under wraps?

Spencer: Oh my God, maybe about a month a month and a half. I didn't tell anybody.

Radar: Was it hard?

Spencer: It was hard. It was really hard because I told my friends I got booked on a pilot so I would have an excuse to go to Vancouver. I told them yeah, I booked a pilot and I'll be up there for a little while. I told my parents the same thing.

Radar: You didn't even tell your parents?

Spencer: No, I didn't tell my parents at all. I didn't tell anybody. I kept it pretty close. It was really cool, I guess that's how the guys in the Wolf Pack really bonded, because we couldn't tell anyone so we just talked about it amongst ourselves. All the excitement and what we're going through, the workout. I guess that's how we bonded, the workouts and plus it's like a brotherhood of secrecy, so we had to keep this big secret and we just talked. It was good to vent to one and other and bounce ideas off each other. It was really hard, it was really hard. The paparazzi got us in a restaurant, they took our picture with Chris Weitz and Taylor. Then about a few days later it came out and I got to tell all of my friends. They were like whoa, man, what's up Spence, why didn't you say anything? My mom and dad, they were just excited.

Radar: You are a member of the Sioux Nation?

Spencer: I'm Lakota Sioux.

Radar: Being a member of a First Nation do you feel like that helped you bring a lot of depth to the character?

Spencer: Yes, yes I do. Of course, it's written for First Nation people or Native Americans or American Indians, whatever the new pc word is. It helped out a lot. But then again, the way the book is written isn't a stereotypical Native role. That's what I found really interesting about the Twilight series is that it could have been anybody. It just happened to be Natives and I like that, I really like that how she took a contemporary outlook on these characters. It was really a breath of fresh air for all of us, the Native actors. We've been trudging away in films, TV and theater and we can do other roles, we have done other roles that weren't designed for Native people but no one has ever seen them. When we got to this is was so nice to not put on the feather and the leather and the buck skin. There's nothing wrong with that, I take pride in the roles I've played but it was just a breath of fresh air to say that yes we could play these contemporary roles. It was so nice to cut the hair too, yes we can do other things, look at us, and we're a pretty good talented group.

Radar: How is your on screen chemistry with Tinsel Korey?

Spencer: She's a sweet heart, I love that girl. What we did was we went out for coffee and we talked to build some chemistry to sit and get to know one and other. When we got to filming it went really well, it went really easy. Of course, you meet someone and the next day you're kissing them. It's a weird profession. You can't fake it. She's one of my really good friends, I call her up. I can put her on my top five actually. I text Alex and Kiowa, we talk to each other because we're all going through this together. Tinsel I like her because I can talk to her in ways that I can't talk to the other guys. It's almost like we are becoming that family in the book. Tinsel is a good actress and a talented, talented woman. I like her music. We would just hang out and talk, go to dinner, shoot the breeze.

Radar: What about the first time you saw Tinsel with the scar? How did you feel about that?

Spencer: She's a really beautiful woman and when you put that scar it just adds this depth to her. It's horrendous; they did a really good job. It really ads so much to her character, because you really look inside her eyes and you can see the beauty inside her eyes, and that's what she brings to Emily. So when we did the scene it was just magic happening there that hopefully the audience will see. She really brought a lot and the scar helped out.

Radar: Tinsel had said that Kristen was really shocked by the scar, what was it like to film with the whole group, Kristen and Taylor?

Spencer: It was really good. Everyone has a different way of working; I learned that a long time ago. Kristen is an old pro, she's been working since she was a child. She comes ready to go. She's got her character down; she knows what she wants to do. She's very open to ideas as well. She's ready to play. Taylor is the same way, he's been working since he was a kid as well. I have a hard time thinking him of a kid, because he's got that man body, but he still has that baby face. The thing is they're both good people, that's what I love about them. They're both egoless. We did a scene in Emily's home and Kristen got all her scenes done and she stayed. She stayed for us to do all our close ups. You don't have to stay, you can get a stand in to come in and say all your lines but she stayed the whole time. And it was a long day. So that shows what kind of integrity and what a trooper she is. I really tip my hat to her on that. Taylor is working, when he's not doing his scene he's getting his muscles pumped, with all of us, we're all doing push ups between scenes. Those two, I like working with them, they come in they're ready to go, but they also know when to have a good time. They keep it light on the set as well, which is really good for an actor, you have to stay relaxed on set.

Radar: Who is the funniest on the set?

Spencer: I'd say Bronson. Bronson is funny, I like him. He can crack some jokes. He has a quick wit about him which we all love.

Radar: You've worked with Gil before, how is your relationship with him?

Spencer: Gil's my brother. I was very happy to be working with him again. Out of the whole cast I'm pretty close to Gil. We worked several projects together, actually all of the projects I've done have been with him. It was very top secret when I was getting this role. He didn't know when I was cast but he was very happy. We go out to dinner; we can talk about what's going on. He gives me advice, I love the guy, he's like my older brother. One of the nicest men you'll ever meet. I like working with him. He'll be there for me. In New Moon we just bounce stuff off each other and I'm very excited to work with him again.

Radar: What was your favorite scene in New Moon?

Spencer: I know people are going to read things into this, but I like the scene going into Emily's place, it really shows the characters of all of us in that scene. Kissing Tinsel Korey, it's not a bad job to kiss a beautiful woman. I've had bad jobs before, I was a bartender I was a garbage man, I've had bad jobs. This is the easiest job in the world.

Radar: We are friends with a fansite and Laurabelle from wanted to ask you question - What do you think about the wolf-pack tattoo - and do you know whether it's meant to be a "birth mark" kind of thing - especially considering the wolves heal and so might not technically be able to be tattoood once they've transformed?

Spencer: Wow, what a great fan! Hello to Laurabelle at Twicrackaddict! That is a deep question and I never thought about it! I learn something new every day! I've read the books, where did that tattoo come from? We're all talking after the film is over the Wolf pack might get tattoos. We all have tattoos, they're addicting. It would be nice to take off to a tattoo parlor after the installment is over. We talk about it. I really like the tattoo, if you really look at the design it's two wolves. Maybe it's an imprint? Maybe it's an imprint of the wolf god, the one that was a shape shifter in ancient times.

Ashley prata med MTV från Vancouver om hur det går på inspelningen av Eclispe!

MTV Shows

"We're getting battered and bruised, but it's good, though," she told MTV News. "We're kind of just getting into it. All the battle and fight stuff is going to happen next month."

The actress, who recently signed on to be MTV News' VMA preshow fashion correspondent, assured fans that if you see pictures of her all black-and-blue, there's no need to worry for her well-being.

"It's going really smoothly. It's going really well," she said. "We're all working really hard and learning how to kick butt. I don't know if you've seen recent pictures, but I have bruises all over my body. It's those wires. It looks like a hand mark on my arm, and it's definitely from wires."

She assures fans that all the pain will be worth it in the end. She is pretty sure that "Eclipse" is really going to please the Twilighters who are anxiously anticipating the franchise's third flick.

"I think we're trying to make it more of a drama and then add the fantasy in," she said. "So, I think the film as a whole will be very solid."

Edward and Alice playing chess was one of the funniest things I’d ever seen. They’d sat there nearly motionless, staring at the board, while Alice foresaw the moves he would make and he picked the moves she would make in return out of her head. They played most of the game in their minds; I think they’d each moved two pawns when Alice suddenly flicked her king over and surrendered. It took all of three minutes.

I think she has a much bigger rack than I have.” Kristen Stewart is pondering her Twilight action figure — the little plastic doll that represents Bella, her character in the film franchise — while checking the proportions of the bust. “I also think she looks much older than me,” she adds, before setting the figure aside. I pick it up and, on closer inspection, the doll does look a little older than its real-life progenitor (as to the “rack”, closer inspection would be inappropriate). “It’s strange,” continues the 19-year-old actress, “but people often think I’m a little bit older than I really am. A French journalist asked me earlier on how my teenage years had affected my later life. I’m still in my teens.” She smiles. “Really, even if I was older, how could my teenage years not have shaped my life? I don’t know how to answer that.”

The French journalist should have done his research, although, to the uneducated observer, Stewart might well seem beyond her years. Her conversation, for example, most certainly belies her age. Not many teenagers are quite as articulate or as self-aware — although not many teenagers are carrying the world’s biggest burgeoning film franchise, the teen vampire series Twilight. With JK Rowling’s much-loved characters pottering into their final big-screen chapter, Twilight will soon stand as the top teen-movie franchise, and with their leading lady, the film-makers have snared a supremely talented and highly intelligent young star.

Stewart’s most recent movie, the understated indie comedy Adventureland, is a case in point. In this semi-autobiographical tale, the writer-director Greg Mottola (The Daytrippers, Superbad) draws upon his experience of working in a theme park during his teens in the 1980s. Stewart plays the troubled Em Lewin, the main character’s love interest. The film took only $16m at the US box office, but is better than those figures suggest, working as an ensemble piece (the Saturday Night Live favourites Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig provide hilarious support, while The Squid and the Whale’s Jesse Eisenberg shines in the leading-man role) — although Stewart’s character is, quite deliberately, granted plenty of screen time.

“Kristen was one of the few people I cast without even auditioning, even though she’s younger than the character she plays in the film,” Mottola tells me. “But I think she’s the best actress in her age range. She can make thinking look dramatic.” Mottola’s favourite scene sees Stewart deliver a story about her father having an affair while her mother was dying of cancer. “She tells it in this very matter-of-fact manner and instinctively knew that someone who hasn’t processed those feelings yet wouldn’t know how to talk about them,” he says. Other people he auditioned for the role transformed the speech into what he describes as “some of the most melodramatic monologues I’ve ever hea Stewart looks bashful when I relay the compliment. “I am not a terribly introverted, damaged girl at a theme park in the 1980s,” she smiles, “but I can imagine what it would be like to not like yourself very much, and to be kicking it alone. Also to feel like you’re sort of smarter than everybody, but nobody gets it. I get all that, and then the masochistic aspects girls are good at.

Also, I guess I have always felt older than I am. I felt I should have been an adult at the age of five. And I thought I was an adult when I was 12. I wasn’t like a warrior, but I have never been that kid who doesn’t care a fig about anything. It’s just the way I’ve been brought up.”Stewart’s full-time education in her home state of California tailed off when she hit 14. Both of her parents are familiar with the film business (her father, John Stewart, worked as a stage manager and television producer; her mother, Jules Mann-Stewart, as a script supervisor) and trusted her to continue her education via correspondence while she concentrated on her fledgling acting career. The move has paid off, and, as Stewart has already noted, these early years have informed the rest of her life. At only 16, she had already worked with arguably the best actress and actor in Hollywood today, appearing first with Jodie Foster in 2002’s Panic Room (as Foster’s sullen daughter) and then, in 2007, as Tracy, a waif-like trailer-park teen who falls for Emile Hirsch in Sean Penn’s directorial hit Into the Wild. Foster and Penn have proved invaluable mentors.

“Those two have had a massive influence on me, of course,” she offers, “and in Sean I have seen something that I have never seen in someone else — this huge sense of conviction. It kind of kicks you out of the room.” It sounds intimidating. “Yes, definitely, and it is also gently persuasive. Sean takes things so seriously. If he is doing a part, he never stops until it’s done, whereas Jodie takes it a little less seriously. She is able to do the same thing without killing herself so much. But that’s what he needs. So from both of them, I get the same thing: they only do what they feel strongly about, and there is never anything to be ashamed of.”

In between her films with Foster and Penn, Stewart earned strong notices for 2004’s Speak, in which, at only 13, she starred as a young teen who is raped and stops speaking. She also worked with Mike Figgis and Sharon Stone (Cold Creek Manor, 2003), Jon Favreau (Zathura, 2005), Griffin Dunne (Fierce People, 2005), the Pang brothers (The Messengers, 2007) and Robert De Niro (What Just Happened, 2008). “I’m glad I could do those films, and I was glad to leave school,” she recalls. “I couldn’t relate to kids my own age. They are mean and don’t give you any chance.” Does she feel as though she missed out on anything? “No, I think the social aspects I haven’t missed out on. I am around people constantly. I meet hundreds of people at work. Once you have done with school, you realise it is just a smaller version of life. When I was there, I was never the type of girl to be walking around talking about acting, so I didn’t get a whole lot of hassle for that, until someone found out, until someone saw some old movie and realised. I was trying to play it down, but I definitely got, ‘Oh, she’s such a bitch.’ They’d never spoken to me, but instantly they were, like, ‘You are so rude.’ I am not rude.”

She’s right. In fact, Stewart is thoroughly engaging. Admittedly, some journalists find her a struggle, but I’d suggest that, like the Frenchman, they have underestimated their subject. In person, she is bright and quite charming, an eager smoker who regularly curls her knees up under her chin while talking. She is uncomfortable with the interview process — “I’m not very good at self-analysis” — and any poorly thought-through or ill-informed questions are given short shrift.

In securing the role of Bella in the Twilight series, she stands as one of the most sought-after teen stars in the world. The first film in the franchise, released last November, snaffled more than $380m at the box office (recouping 10 times its original budget); the second instalment, New Moon, will most likely fare even better. In the second chapter, the hunky vampire of the series, Edward Cullen (played by a big-eyebrowed Robert Pattinson) leaves Bella Swann (the two are hopelessly in love), allowing another male, Jacob (Taylor Lautner), to enter the scene and form a sticky love triangle. Cue plenty of soul-searching and teen-tinged heartache. “There’s also a bit more action in this movie,” she offers. “The werewolves are introduced, and you have the character of Jacob. The way it all pans out, it’s quite tragic, really.”

Given the first film’s popularity, has the Twilight saga transformed her life? “Well, I never worked to some grand plan,” she says, “but I’d be lying if I said Twilight hadn’t afforded me other opportunities. Most of the films I like to make are tiny and barely see the light of day, but after Twilight, people are more likely to go, ‘Oh, let’s go see Bella in that stripper movie.’” The stripper movie is Welcome to the Rileys, a low-key emotional drama she shot with James Gandolfini after making the first Twilight film. She has also recently finished The Runaways, which charts the early years of the eponymous 1970s all-girl rock band, fronted by Joan Jett (Stewart’s role) and Cherie Currie (played by her New Moon co-star Dakota Fanning). “Joan is the ultimate role model,” she beams. That Stewart bonded with the spiky rocker herself on set should come as no surprise. “While Cherie struggled a bit with the fame, Joan knew how to handle the pressure and knew what it could do for her career.”

Like Jett, Stewart must now live her life in the glare of the media spotlight, and there are persistent rumours of on-set shenanigans between Stewart and Pattinson, although the actress has always brushed away the tittle-tattle. When the first film hit cinemas, she was already dating her Speak co-star Michael Angarano. “He’s cool with the whole thing,” she had told me at a previous interview, earlier this year. “I think he likes the first movie. I don’t really know, but he is not a jealous guy. He is fine. He can handle that.” And what were her thoughts on true love at first sight, a keynote of the movie? “I guess, for Bella, her feelings for Edward Cullen almost change the chemical structure of her body, like heroin. And now that has happened, she’d rather die than be without him. Maybe that happens for people — I don’t know. As for me, I haven’t left my boyfriend for Robert Pattinson.”

Bar the gossip, has fame fostered any other troubles? Twilight fans, for example, are notoriously zealous (indeed, the “Twihards” are positively fanatic). “Really, people don’t recognise me often. I think I just look different in person or something. I’m also not very approachable, and maybe they’re just thinking, ‘Ooohhh, she’s scary.’ It is weird seeing all the marketing, though, and the billboards. I like burgers, but do I want to see my face all over the burger cartons? Not really.” And what if the marketeers bring out further additions to her line of Bella action figures? “The doll?” She smiles. “Well, I guess I can live with that. In fact, I’m getting used to the bigger rack.”

I love him. Not because he’s beautiful or because he’s rich! I’d much rather he weren’t either one. It would even out the gap between us just a little bit — because he’d still be the most loving and unselfish and brilliant and decent person I’ve ever met. Of course I love him. How hard is that to understand?

Chris Weitz Interview- part 1

New Moon Fansites Set Visit: His Golden Eyes,Twilighters Anonymous,Twilight Lexicon,Twilight Moms,Twilight Source/Imprint,Twilight Series Theories

Transcript by Kara of Twilight Moms, Matt of Twilight Source/Imprint, Laura of Twilight Lexicon

Chris: Where Bella meets Laurent in the meadow, it was a two day scene and in between the two days it snowed and so we arrived in the morning at 6:00 and it was snowing, about 4 inches of snow. So, we had to scramble to shift our schedule around. Do all kinds of stuff.

Q: How do you deal with lighting continuity when you are dealing with such drastic weather situations?

Chris: Well of course what we hope for in all cases is gray weather. We’re in this weird position of wanting bad weather. We want light rain or gray at all times. We don’t always get it, so when we don’t, we use gigantic scrims hanging from big condors to block off as much as we can. But then there’s this continual torture to Javier our DP (director of photography) because you can sort of shade off an area where actors are acting but in the background we bright—shafts of light coming through—and of course there’s vampire weather as well. Sometimes we can get away with a sunny day in Forks, but never on a day when Edward is around because we don’t want to give away the diamond stuff. So, it really, you know I’ll be so happy when we get to a stage in about a week and we can stop worrying about the weather.”

Q: So, you’re moving to an interior set?

Chris: We’ll be moving to the interiors in a week from today. So there‘s just only one more week to freak out about the weather a bit. We’ve been knocked around a bit. There’s like a Twilight weather curse, slightly. You end up not getting the weather you want on a given day. It will be sun on the day you want rain and then the one day you want sun…

Q: So is all this [indicating the Bella’s house set] going to stay up though?

Chris: You know it’s funny I’ve been knocking it around in my head what the best thing to do would be. I would imagine what they are going to do is to disassemble it. Because I mean you know it looks great, but it’s not really up to code. I’m not sure that it would withstand a BC winter and everything. I think probably what they’ll do is take it apart and put it into storage and build it back up again while still I imagine maintaining a rent on this land would be my best guess.

Q: So we can see that people can actually go in the house?

Chris: Yeah well the interesting thing is in certain angles it is perfectly dressed. But if you were to look at other angles you could see that it is just an empty core. So that when Jacob jumps in the window, which he is going to do eventually, then we have enough to be inside the window to have Bella step back as he comes in, but you wouldn’t see the other way around into the window- then we flip to the interior- but hopefully when it all comes to the movie and editing it will all be seamless in the way it comes together. You’ll never notice that kind of stuff so its a smooth cut.

Q: Was it intimidating coming into a fandom with such intense fans?

Chris: Yeah- I mean on the one hand it is, but on the other hand I really feel like everyone wants the movie to be good and everyone has been very encouraging and supportive there haven’t been… things have felt very positive toward me- of course I have been avoiding the internet because I don’t want to get to caught up-

My responsibility is to the readership, and my responsibility is not to the internet-no matter what you guys are doing- I’m addressing the same people you are but I don’t want to get caught up in any controversy that’s going on online or whatever people have to say about me when I was selected- I did that on Golden Compass once- and there was a vote as to who they would rather have as director and “other” beat me- I didn’t want to be in that situation

Q: I think it was great when the press release went out about how committed you were to the film that all of that really died down right around then.

Chris: Well that’s good- I think that its great to have this kind of inbuilt audience of fans, and I feel that they are extraordinarily supportive. They really want things to be good, and the cast wants this to be good- kind of the same kind of commitment to getting the books right…and that’s how I feel.

Q: Which is so greatly appreciated.

Chris: That’s good. It’s great that there was a first movie that was so successful, but to me the book is the Bible for it. And so when I read the book, I read it at a gallop so that I had a similar experience to when people first reading it did. I didn’t want to chop it into pieces immediately. I wanted to just read it in one go- then I kind of went back in you always have to select what your moments are going to be- it’s a 600 page book- eventually you are going to disappoint people- but I think if you do it from the attitude that my loyalty has to be to the readership, and what they experienced more so than even to the fans of the first movie. Although, there has to be some consistency from the first movie to the second movie. It’s really about the readers.

Q: What did you do to make the tone darker? – Have you done anything specific to make it darker as a film?

Chris: Yeah, I think it’s just not to be afraid of the tonalities of the acting and in the tone of the piece. Not, because obviously with a big studio film and a lot of money at stake, you know one can be afraid that if you don’t have people smiling and laughing all the time that you’re gonna be in big trouble. But I think that part of the appeal of this is that it really digs into that melancholy that people experience when they are broken up with: when they lose somebody, when they yearn for somebody, and just not to be afraid of that.

And in terms of the palette of how the world is represented, just to get technical, but for example the blacks are very crunchy there will be very deep shadows, very deep blacks, and literally and metaphorically it makes the colors stand out more.

There will be a period during the movie when things are quite dark and somber, but then there will be kind of this explosion of color when you get to Italy. And there is this kind of ecstatic – and there’s this kind of happiness before and then it loses it all…. and it’s sort of try in every way even in terms of design in different sets and stuff to make sure that each bit, each detail, is a metaphor for where the character is in the book, and you follow Bella’s journey.

It’s also not taking the focus off of Bella’s POV. The book is narrated through Bella. We have to have this very fine balance between having too much and too little Edward. If you have too much Edward, it will be a terrible thing because you want the audience to experience that longing as well, and if you have too little Edward…I’ll be hunted down and killed. It’s just a fine balance that has to be hit basically.

Q: Have you talked to Stephenie Meyer- has she given you any tips?

Chris: Oh yeah we speak all the time. We email back and forth all the time. She’s been to visit the set, and I went down to Arizona to hang out with her. Yeah I’m running stuff past her constantly so that the mythology of the series isn’t violated. I don’t want to pull any fast ones or make any mistakes in terms of things that I present which don’t make sense in her universe. You would have to ask her, I don’t want to make any claims, you’d have to ask her to the degree to which she is satisfied. At least she says to me that she feels the film is very beautiful, and that’s not a credit to me that’s more Javier Aguirresarobe the DP who does absolutely beautiful work. And the idea is to try to make as elegant and beautiful a rendering of the book as possible.

Q: Is that hard as a creative person to take your own vision of the film and match it up with her vision of the film- or her vision of the book?

Chris: In a sense it’s easier because you aren’t working with a totally blank canvas you know I’ve got sort of these tools to work with and I inherited this wonderful cast, and that’s great, and I’m very happy working in the genre of literary adaptation, which is how I see this really. And I don’t really believe in the austere theory where the director creates everything, and I don’t think that’s accurate. You’ll see just from hanging around here, that there are 100 people working here, and each one of them has good ideas. And there’s a director of photography who understands light better than I do. There are cameramen who understand focus better than I do and all these things I’m sort of a glorified traffic cop….

Q: I was going to say conductor-

Chris: Conductor is always the nice sounding…way…and I’m coordinating all of their efforts. So no it doesn’t bother me at all. I actually really enjoy it. I have a standard to stick to that’s already there. Whereas if I write something just on my own, I never really believe my own creations. They sound like made up characters to me. Whereas Bella, Edward and Jacob are already there and we just try to get those things right with the actors. So I don’t have a problem with that at all.

Q: How is the transition from your version to Catherine Hardwicke’s film? Sometimes when directors change there is a big change. You can tell from the style. What kind of style do you bring to this film?

Chris: I think the biggest change would be that I am a bit of an old fogy. I’m old-fashioned and I think Catherine is very “fashion forward” and conscious of a pop sensibility. I am more tied to the old-fashioned romantic films. So that would be, if you were a film nerd, you would notice the palate of the film, the camera work. I am a lot less likely to use hand-held cameras than Catherine Hardwicke is. Things like that, they are more stylistic differences than my kind of “taking it and throwing it away.”
Obviously I owe her a lot, because she cast this great cast [so] I kind of inherited this cool “toolbox” and this extraordinary fan base.

Q: Was there anything from the first film that you felt you had to change?

Chris: No, I don’t. I think the key things that worked with the first movie are the relationships and the feelings of the main characters are the [same] things will work about this. Everything else is just bells and whistles. I mean, there are a lot more special effects in this film so the fact that I had a lot of experience in that area kind of helps. But it shouldn’t feel so different. It shouldn’t suddenly as though you are in an action movie or a visual effects movie. It is wrong if it feels that way. It is only right if the visual effects convey the feeling that is in the books in the first place. The world of the book expands naturally, like with the Volturi. Obviously, they weren’t in the first movie at all but that has been an organic development.

Q: Do you have a favorite scene that you are anxious to see?

Chris: I am excited about scenes with Taylor and Kristen. I am excited about the final showdown with Taylor, Kristen and Rob because I feel that the chemistry is just fantastic. Their relationships are just fantastic. They work the way they are supposed to. That you can understand exactly what they are supposed to. You can understand exactly why Bella would be tempted to, I guess, “settle” would be a better word for Jacob, or to take that option that there really is a love triangle. That is really getting established there. That feels really good. We shot a lot of that stuff already. We haven’t shot the Volturi stuff yet, but I think it will be pretty extraordinary. I have seen the set taking shape and it is just amazing.

82. Stephenie Meyer

STAGE OF GLOBAL CONQUEST: The Mormon housewife’s Twilight teen-vampire romance novels sold nearly 29 million copies in one year, capturing the top four positions on the USA Today best-seller list for 2008, making her the first author ever to do so. (J. K. Rowling came close with Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 5 with her Harry Potter titles in 2000.) The movie version of Twilightgrossed $191 million in the U.S., and the film adaptation of her second book, New Moon, opens in November. Meyer has also inspired hundreds of Web sites from fans who call themselves “Stephen-ites” or “Twi-hards.”
MARITAL RELATIONS: Her husband, Christian, quit his job as an auditor to look after their three sons.
DAILY HABITS: Drives fast but doesn’t consume alcohol or caffeine.
LEGEND HAS IT: Meyer, 35, began writing as a 29-year-old Phoenix housewife in 2003 after dreaming of vampires one night. She wrote 10 pages the next morning before driving her sons to swimming lessons. She moved a desk into the living room and finished her 130,000-word first novel in only three months.
THORN IN HER SIDE: Stephen King, who said that “Rowling is a terrific writer and Stephenie Meyer can’t write worth a darn.”
NEW THORN IN HER SIDE: Jordan Scott, who has alleged in a lawsuit filed in August that Meyer stole ideas from her 2006 vampire novel The Nocturne, and used them in Breaking Dawn, which Meyer published in 2008.
Meyer’s publisher has said that the claims are meritless.

She shot the cover for Twilight back in September 2004. Since Twilight wasn't in bookstores yet, she wasn't able to read it before the audition or the shoot. What a luckly gal! Bet she didn't know just how special she was at the time!

Nu har de verkligen blivit tokiga eller vad tycker ni?
Jag menar,hallå låt dem va?!

Detta hittade jag på Twifans ;

MTV: Jackson, what are you most looking forward to shooting in the next film?

Jackson Rathbone: I'm really excited to start filming "Eclipse." I got a chance to read the script, and we get to go back into Jasper's backstory. They actually had to ask me about my equestrian experience. I told them I can gallop and trot and all that. I used to ride. It's been two or three years since I've been on a horse, but I'm excited to get back up on the saddle.

MTV: So we're going to get to Jasper's Civil War backstory?

Rathbone: Yes, I get to shoot some Civil War stuff, and I'm also going to shoot a lot of fighting scenes. Which is great, because I just came off [M. Night Shyamalan's] "The Last Airbender," and I've been doing fighting for the last six months. So I'm ready to keep it on.

MTV: What kind of moves will you be pulling off? Just shooting guns? Obviously, it won't be highly-stylized martial arts stuff.

Rathbone: No, it won't be karate, it won't be kung fu, like the stuff we're doing in "Airbender." But even in "Airbender," the fighting styles I was doing were a little bit more loose, like street fighting. And that's kind of what this is; it's about evading.

MTV: Why is that?

Rathbone: Well, we're talking about newborn vampires that can't control their urges — they can't really think very quickly. So if you just let them go to their instincts and evade and attack them from side to side, you could get them; but if you try and go after them through force, they're going to win every time. So it's all about evasion.

MTV: Are there training scenes in "Eclipse" along these lines?

Rathbone: It's interesting; there's a lot of cool scenes where Jasper trains the Cullen family on how to fight the newborns. He gets to train Emmett — and Emmett is a born fighter — so he's telling Emmett all these techniques, and Emmett thinks he could just best Jasper [during their sparring]. Jasper ends up getting the best of him, because it's a war mentality, not just a street brawl. It's about thinking ahead; it's a chess game.

MTV: Cool. Will we see the scene where Jasper gets bitten?

Rathbone: Oh yeah, we have to see that. It's going to be great. I've been studying up a lot on the Civil War and that era. It really was a crazy time. It was all-out war on our own turf and between countrymen. That's terrible. It's an interesting time to see when Jasper was actually human and what his human form was and, when he gets turned, how intense and how dark he is. Then [we'll see] his realization of what he's become, him finding Alice and being redeemed by love.

MTV: And is that the first time we'll see your powers?

Rathbone: Actually, in "New Moon," we get a little glimpse. Inside the school.

MTV: How was it to film scenes where you were influencing the emotions of those around you?

Rathbone: It was fun. I just played it very naturally, like, if you have these special powers — like Edward has the ability to read minds — it's not like he's going to [get overly dramatic] and go, "You're hungry!" No, it's a natural thing, like the human ability to smell or to hear is a natural ability. To affect the mental state of anyone around you [I depicted Jasper as] keeping it all right in the eyes. Just thinking it and transferring it through the eyes, which are the windows to the soul — even to the soulless.

MTV: And will it be clear to the audience that this emotion-manipulation is going on?

Rathbone: In "New Moon," when we see it? It's pretty obvious.

Några Volturi fans där ute?

Eclipse .

Twilight Eclipse Starts Shooting in August

From ProductionWeekly comes word that the 3rd film in the TWILIGHT franchise Twilight Eclipse will begin shooting in August in Vancouver and will shoot through October. David Slade has been hired to direct THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE from a screenplay written by Melissa Rosenberg. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, the third film in the studio’s TWILIGHT film franchise based on the Stephenie Meyer’s blockbuster book series, will be released theatrically in North America on Wednesday, June 30, 2010.

In ECLIPSE, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.

Premiere: Rob, before we start, I’d like to know the name of your hairdresser and the brand of gel you use…Rob: You want to know the truth? The only time I get my hair cut is on set.

P: Oh! And I was going to forget: All the girls I know want to say hi to you.

R: (Laughs) Hi!

P: The last time we saw each other was during the American promotion of Twilight last November, you didn’t seem to realize yet what was happening.

R: I don’t think anyone can understand what’s happening. Something like this is so rare. It’s a mix of chance and coincidence. You wake up one day and you’re suddenly a star. Really weird. All of a sudden everyone knows who you are while you haven’t changed one bit. I really understood what was happening in Cannes. I was in a restaurant during a break and when I came out 2 hours later, 500 people were waiting for me at the exit. It was total chaos. They literally had to carry me to the car. It’s ridiculous when you think about it. (Laughs)

P: You must have felt like asking those 500 people what they were doing there…

R: Of course. I’m sure that if I told one of those girls “Come, let’s go have breakfast”, she would have been totally embarrassed and would never scream my name again in the middle of a crowd.

P: Well there you have it, you have to invite each of your fans for breakfast to find a normal life again.

R: One by one. Great idea!

Jag har en plan, vi bygger en tidsmaskin och slår datumet 20 November, 2009!! :D

Tidningen släpps i Sverige i Oktober och i den kommer det även att vara några bilder och en intervju med Taylor Lautner!

According to Taylor, there is a very specific sort of girl who's
going to sign up for what's become known toTwilight fans as Team Jacob. "If she likes having a really close friendship with a guy," he begins, "being able to tell him anything, and then having that friendship slowly transform into something more...." The seventeen-year-old stops himself and laughs. "I find myself using the word transform a lot lately," he explains, "because that's what Jacob does."

It's not exactly a spoiler to say that Taylor's character in November's New Moon is going through some intense changes. As everyone who's seen the movie's trailer or read the books knows, Jacob Black is now a werewolf. And the changes that Taylor himself underwent in order to keep the part—as he says, "hitting the gym, hiring a personal trainer, eating the right foods, and eating a lot of them"—were equally evident. When that first trailer

premiered at the MTV Movie Awards, the live (and apparently largely female) audience responded to a two-second shot of Taylor, shirtless, by screaming like they were on a roller coaster. Not that he's about to let all that adulation go to his head. "I think the fans would love anybody who played Jacob," he says mildly, when the reception is mentioned. "I'm just lucky to be the one who got the chance."

Taylor got into acting via a somewhat circuitous path. As a kid growing up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, he started competing in a sport called Xtreme Martial Arts—which he describes as "almost like gymnastics, in that you do a routine, but there's a lot of kicks and punches and flips"—and he found that he was pretty good; by the time he retired, at thirteen, he was a four-time world champ. It was his Hollywood-based karate coach (a onetime blue Power Ranger) who suggested that Taylor give show business a chance. "At first," he recalls, "I wasn't interested, but he said I could stay at his house for a few weeks, meet with some agents, go on auditions. " By the end of that month, Taylor says, "I liked it. Taking on roles that were the opposite of what I could be in real life? That's still my favorite thing."

Now Taylor lives with his family an hour outside Los Angeles, although the distance does little to dissuade the paparazzi. "There are twelve cars that camp outside my house," he marvels. "You can't ever really get used to it, because it's not normal to have people snapping pictures of everything you do. You just have to try not to let it affect you." Tabloid attention and spurious rumors are the norm for the Twilight cast right now—Taylor and his costars are already hard at work on the third film, Eclipse. And he seems quite capable of taking it all in stride: Asked about his alleged early summer romance with Disney star Selena Gomez, he says, quite unperturbedly, "She's a great girl." Asked whether Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are indeed entangled in a torrid love triangle, he just laughs. "It's crazy," he admits, "but the fans help. They're a big part of the motivation."

As if on cue, a pair of wide-eyed young sisters approach his table, looking ecstatic. "We're all Team Jacob in our house," their mother says. Taylor does have a point when he insists that people are reacting, in part, to the character he plays—these two are each clutching one of author Stephenie Meyer's dictionary-size tomes for him to autograph—but he's also being too humble. The girls are definitely old enough to understand that Taylor is a rising star, not a teen werewolf, and they still look pretty starstruck.

Yes, nu är det ute nya bilder från Taylor's photoshoot för TeenVouge och jagkan bara säga att bilderna är väldigt, VÄLDIGT snygga!
