[Källa]Intervju med The Cullens
"The whole family is in a vulnerable position because of the love we have for Bella," said Elizabeth Reaser, who plays matriarch Esme Cullen. "If she's not OK, we're not OK."
It also brings us to the past, where we were introduced to the Cullens and their special talents. We even got a glimpse at their professional baseball playing, but in Eclipse delves deeper into what really makes the clan something special.
"This time around, you get to see their true vampire-ness," said Peter Facinelli, who plays head vampire Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the series based on the bestselling books by Stephenie Meyer.
So what we can expect from this family of vampires in this third installment?
Facinelli:
"For me, as Carlisle, it's an exciting portion of the series. Carlisle is very compassionate and he has a lot of killing to do in this movie. I joke, after he kills the bad guys, he says he's sorry in his head. And, you know, he's calm and level-headed. He's the rock of the family. He usually has a lot of information to draw from because Alice can see into the future and Edward can read minds. In this third movie, he's not getting that information. Neither one of his sources are working, so he's kind of flying blind."
Reaser:
"Esme is still a vampire. She still wants to kill people all day long. It was interesting to get in touch with the vampire side of her in ways that haven't really been explored. Her family is in danger and that brings out the mama bear in her.
Ashley Greene (as Alice Cullen
): "Yeah, she's delicate and prissy at times, but Alice gets a little edgier with each installment. And with these vampires messing with her family and the people she loves, you're going to see a bit of her toughness. It's a reminder to the audience that even though we restrain ourselves at times, we're still vampires and we're dangerous. You're going to see the dark, dangerous side of Alice."
Kellan Lutz
(as Emmett Cullen): "You're going to see a smile on Emmett's face from start to finish. He just loves to fight. And there's a lot of fighting. He sort of plays bigger in this one than the others."
Jackson Rathbone
(as Jasper Hale): "You'll get to see a little bit of the root of what makes Jasper so withdrawn and quiet in the Cullen family. Fans will get some of Jasper's back story in
‘Eclipse.' I got to wear the whole Civil War gear and everything. There's a bit of the softer and darker side of Jasper in this film."
Nikki Reed
(as Rosalie Hale): "You see a reason for her attitude. I think fans will feel for her. There was a bit of that in ‘New Moon.' Fans got to see a bit of her sensitive side. Her sane side. Her logical side. And her desire to help her family. This time around, she is much more of a participant. She's a survivor. This is her family. So if protecting Bella means protecting her family, she's going to do it."
Robert Pattinson
(as Edward Cullen): Snagging a phone interview with the brooding dreamboat — who was overseas shooting his latest film, "Bel Ami" — proved difficult. So what can we expect from the lovesick Edward? He promises to love Bella "every moment of forever," as the trailer reveals. He's still hesitant about her becoming a vampire. He's determined to protect her from Victoria. And he's vying with Jacob for her affections. Oh, the life of an antique teenage vampire.

Officiellt - Bill Condon kommer regissera Breaking Dawn
Los Angeles, CA April 28, 2010 – Summit Entertainment has confirmed that Academy Award® winner Bill Condon will direct THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN, based on the fourth novel in author Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight series. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN, is currently being written by Melissa Rosenberg, and will star Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Wyck Godfrey, Karen Rosenfelt, and Stephenie Meyer will produce the project.
"Bringing Stephenie Meyer's BREAKING DAWN to the screen requires a graceful and intelligent hand and we believe Bill Condon is exactly the right steward, having shown equal and abundant talents of immense creativity and subtle sensitivity,” said Erik Feig, President of Production and Acquisitions, for Summit Entertainment.
Added author Stephenie Meyer, "I'm so thrilled that Bill wants to work with us. I think he's going to be a great fit, and I'm excited to see what he does with the material."
“I'm very excited to get the chance to bring the climax of this saga to life on-screen. As fans of the series know, this is a one-of-a-kind book - and we're hoping to create an equally unique cinematic experience," said Bill Condon.
THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN illuminates the secrets and mysteries of this spellbinding romantic epic that has entranced millions.
Condon is well known for writing and directing DREAMGIRLS, KINSEY, and GODS AND MONSTERS, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay in 1999. Intervju med Alex Meraz
Alex Meraz
Age: 25
Mesa, AZ
Alex Meraz bulked up for his role as a werewolf in Twilight, and now he’s getting slim and androgynous for the lead in Larry Clark’s Savage Innocent.
Larry Clark thought I probably wouldn’t be right for the role in Savage Innocent, having just finished Twilight. He’s very particular about the actors he wants to work with. I really had to fight to get the job. I brought a gun with me and showed him. “Look man, this is how real I am.” [Ed: he's kidding, we think.]
My new year’s resolution is to have a gallery show this year. I’m a painter but didn’t pursue it professionally because I was interested in other things. I stayed up all last night painting. Right now I feel like a painter more than anything else.
I’m fascinated by the writing process. A good friend of mine is a writer for True Blood, and I’m interested in the deadlines and having people say that something’s not good and to rewrite it. I wish I would have stuck with writing and I wish I knew how to spell.
I think a misconception about me is that I’m just a pretty boy. Most people are just in this industry for the publicity and glamour of it, which is an element for sure, but I think I want something completely different. I really respect the craft and want to develop as an actor.
Daniel Cudmore pratar om fajt scenen i New Moon
The Daily Telegraph fick prata med Daniel när han var på besök i Australia för MelbourneTwilight convention.
Daniel Cudmore, who plays evil Volturi vampire Felix, and Booboo Stewart, who plays young werewolf Seth Clearwater, are among the stars of the Twilight Saga movies in Sydney and Melbourne for the Australian Twilight Convention.
At 6-feet-7 (1.83 metres), muscle-bound Canadian actor Cudmore isn't hard to miss.
But out enjoying his first trip to Australia he's yet to be spotted by Twihards.
"I've just walked around the whole city," Cudmore told AAP in Sydney.
"For some reason people don't associate me with some of the roles I've played.
"I think a lot of people in the city looked at me wondering what sport I play."
Cudmore did start out as a football player in Canada, before getting into stunt work and acting.
His breakthrough role came in the X-Men films, using his height to his advantage playing Colossus.
The fantasy films have plenty of fans, but Cudmore says it's nothing compared to the reaction to the Twilight series.
"It's more intense, there's so much more passion," he said.
"I think maybe because it's a newer phenomenon, whereas X-Men has been around for such a long time through the comic books and the movies."
Cudmore's character Felix is a Volturi thug whose day-to-day job is "tearing apart other vampires".
He says Felix is a nasty piece of work, but a joy to play.
"He's an angry vampire, he doesn't really get much respect, and he's been around for thousands of years ... and he's just really, really good at what he does," Cudmore said.
"It's a fun character - it's fun to play someone dark, who goes on the animal side and enjoys it."
The physical role included a fight scene with Robert Pattinson, who plays Edward.
Pattinson is a heartthrob to Twilight fans the world over, but Cudmore said the handsome actor was keen to do as much of his own stunt work as possible.
"Rob's a great guy, he's really game for anything," Cudmore said.
"He was nervous at first, because he was like, `you know I'm not the most athletic guy out there, I don't think I'm going to be able to do this'.
"After rehearsing for a few hours he was really, really having a good time with it. He had a blast."
Twilight fans can get up close to Cudmore, Stewart, and co-stars Gil Birmingham (Billy Black) and Christian Serratos (Bella's friend Angela) at the Twilight Conventions in Sydney and Melbourne on April 24 and 25.
The third Twilight film, Eclipse, will be released in Australia on July 1.

Detta saknades i Eclipse trailern
De duktiga MTV människorna har gjort en lista på vad de tyckte saknades i trailern.
BREE TANNER
What a tease. First Stephenie Meyer announced she was publishing a new book about the short-lived Bree Tanner, then Summit announced “Eclipse” was having reshoots (it could have been to include more Bree scenes!), but then when the trailer was released there was no Bree! We wouldn’t expect much, since Bree doesn’t have much screen time anyways, but we were at least hoping for a quick flash of Jodelle Ferland’s face.
FLASHBACKS
A decent amount of “Eclipse’s” 629 pages is spent explaining the back story of Jasper, Rosalie and the Quilette tribe through flashbacks. We already know we’ll be seeing Jasper’s story unfold on screen, and can assume the same about Rosalie and the wolf pack. But where is this in the trailer? We can understand it might be hard to fit into a minute-and-a-half long trailer, but hopefully in the future we’ll get to see a featurette or something.
THE TENT SCENE
Well, at least this scene is teased in the trailer, although if you didn’t know what you were looking for, you probably would have missed it. At 1:12, Bella and Jacob can be seen talking on a snowy mountain, and at 1:16 Edward and Bella are shown facing off against Victoria. But we want to see Bella curled up in a sleeping bag with a smug Jacob while Edward looks on in tortured agony. Don’t make us wait for June 30 for this one, Slade!
Kellan Lutz pratar om Nightmare On Elm Street
A: You know, growing up, Freddy Krueger was the only thing that scared me. I have three older brothers who picked on me, and they did anything to beat me up, but Freddy was the ultimate freak factor. Because Jason from Friday the 13th or Chucky — they were kind of funny. I even had a Chucky doll. But something that attacks you in your sleep? [Shivers]
Q: So which gets you more attention these days — Twilight or the Calvin Klein-underwear ads?
A: Well, I had my mom’s best friends proposing [after Twilight], which is kind of flattering. Some of them are really quite attractive. So I might hold onto those numbers and e-mails. But with Calvin Klein, it was always a dream to be a part of the company, and to do it on such a high level? I didn’t know it would be for underwear, at first. But, hey, Mark Wahlberg, it really helped his career, and I can only hope I get half the chance he did. Twilight opens doors, but Rob [Pattinson], Kristen [Stewart], and Taylor [Lautner] are the faces of the franchise, and the rest of us float under the radar, so I think this will allow me to have my time. And hopefully people seeing me in my Skivvies will allow me to have some awesome action movies come my way.
Q: At least that’ll help you with Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. There’s more Emmett coming up?
A: Yes! A lot more fighting with the Cullens. I know they’re working on scripts, potentially breaking the last one into two movies. They haven’t said anything to us yet. Once my agent gets the phone call that we’re good to go. And I would love to do it in 3-D. What actor wouldn’t?
Q: So when are we going to see an Emmett-based rock band? Bella and Edward already have Twi-rock bands inspired by them.
A: There should be an Emmett band, yes! I have three roommates, and they’re very gung ho about it, when I told them I had an idea to start a band ourselves. We are currently taking classes, and hopefully we could become a 30 Seconds to Mars-type band. I would love that.

FearNet - 8 saker vi älskar med Eclipse Trailern
With that aerial shot of rainy downtown Seattle, Slade opens up the Twilight world beyond the small town scope of Forks and Quileute country. Even during the span of the trailer, stakes feel higher than before, especially since more emphasis is placed on the killings in Seattle than there was in the book, where Bella's life was always front and center. Whether it's Riley being attacked in a darkened alley or later, leading a pack of newborns as they crawl insidiously over logs and machinery to gather at the dock, you already feel the tension mounting towards the big showdown between the Cullens, the wolves, and Victoria.
Ever since Bella chose Edward over his wolfy self at the end of New Moon, Jacob's been rather hostile. Distant. Hot. The Eclipse trailer opens as Jacob shows up to surprise Bella and Edward with a warning -- but this isn't that old familiar warm 'n' cuddly Jacob Black. It's a new, metrosexual, "I wear a black muscle tee because I'm tough" Jacob Black. With a steely Seagal-esque gaze he speaks for his pack with a resounding, "We're in." He wants really bad to KILL something. Later, he PUNCHES something in anger! Taylor Lautner conveys a confidence that we haven't seen before, and we like it.
Surely the final Eclipse trailer could have included more shirtless boys (tally: one brief shirtless Jacob shot), but we do get to see plenty of the Wolf Pack in wolfy, fighting form. Slade appears to have kept mostly to the wolf models that Chris Weitz created for New Moon, although in some shots they look a bit more photorealistic -- the sensitive eyes are less emphasized since they're in hunt mode. Sure, they still look oversized and otherworldly, but the vision of the newborn fight exploding with snarling, slo-mo wolves has me excited.
We were wondering when we'd get to see more of our favorite veggie vampire family, and the Eclipse trailer does not skimp. Carlisle and the gang show up to formulate their plans to figure out who's creating the vampire army in Seattle, Alice has a nice close-up line of dialogue, and Jasper gets his moment to shine as he leads the clan in to battle with his Confederate Army know-how. (The fight in the clearing looks amazing.) What I'm still not crazy about is the Cullen family hair, which looks a bit updated (Alice's bob has a nice little flip to it) but still looks, well, just a tad silly (check out Jasper's fabulous mane!). Not coincidentally, Peter Facinelli and Ashley Greene are probably two of the more popular fan fave cast members. Did they get more face time because of their popularity?
Curiously, the trailer downplays Victoria's presence in favor of showing more of Riley. (Perhaps this is on purpose to deflect fan attention from the New Victoria, Bryce Dallas Howard.) But since Riley is played by Aussie actor Xavier Samuel, star of the recent horror flick The Loved Ones, I really didn't mind. Samuel strikes a few menacing poses himself as Riley leads Victoria's army closer to Bella, and that shot of him and the newborns walking out of the water like Martin Sheen inApocalypse Now is kind of awesome.
The biggest gift the final trailer gives us is the newborn fight, which should be the most action-packed moment in Eclipse. Slade's vision of how it goes down is pretty thrilling, even in snippets -- his camera rushes in as both sides, good vampires vs. evil vampires, run headlong into each other from the left and right. In the battle, a figure that looks like Alice runs toward a baddie and vaults out of the way just as one of the wolves grabs him. A wolf with reddish fur (is it Jacob?) tumbles with a vampire. Victoria, who's evaded captors with her super speed in previous movies, shows off some new moves as she leaps from tree to tree in a forest chase.
Since this trailer's all about action, we don't really see much of the love triangle at the heart of the story. But we do get a brief glimpse of a scene between Bella and Jacob -- he's shirtless and it's snowy, so this could be part of the famed "sleeping bag/tent scene" -- which is laden with heavy emotional glances and shot in gorgeous natural-looking light with what looks to be a handheld camera, an element that promises to give parts of Eclipse a feel more akin to the intimacy of the first film.
While the fight in the clearing shows mostly the Cullens and Co. vs. the newborns, Edward does get a bit of action here. It's probably him chasing Victoria through the trees (it's hard to see in this trailer) but it's definitely him guarding Bella as Victoria gets closer, and it's him pushing over a massive tree that Victoria's hiding in. Fear not, fans -- as the teaser and previously released stills show, Edward should get plenty of the other kind of action in Eclipse (you know, the kind that involves making out), and shots of him looking concerned and adorable and proposing to Bella elsewhere in the trailer solidify his hold on Bella's (and our) hearts.

Since Twilight fever swept the nation, we’ve had our eyes fixed on Kristen Stewart’s wardrobe. On the red carpet she takes on daring looks that most Hollywood stars would shy away from – stand-out looks have come from Proenza Schouler, Burberry, and graphic Pucci numbers. Off-duty, however, Kristen quickly ditches the heels and minis in favour of jeans and Converse. But whether Kristen’s wearing a strapless Oscar de la Renta gown or checked shirt and leather leggings, her smouldering eye and rock chick attitude give this rising star an achingly cool edge.
Love Kristen? Subscribe to ELLE and be the first to see her issue. Coming Soon.

LUTZ: Iowa is where the big farm was, where my grandparents lived. After my parents divorced, we would visit them. My mom would send me out to the pigpen, where we had these huge, huge pigs. I would stand there for six hours holding a hose, watering pigs. They’d dive in the mud and shake it off, and I’d go home covered in it. I loved the whole thing of getting wet and dirty and then getting in a warm bath.
JACOBS: You also have experience spraying crops and building silos. Are you aware of how this story reads in New York and L.A.? Anything involving uncontrived hard labor is irresistible to the style industry.
LUTZ: I’d rather do manual labor than sit behind a desk. And as my grandparents got older, I’d fly out there and help out around the farm. We’d tear barns down; we’d build barns. I’d rather be outside rolling hay or driving the tractors.
JACOBS: Then how did you choose Hollywood?
LUTZ: I have a lot of older brothers who messed up in different ways in my mother’s eyes. So I learned from all of their mistakes. I can’t go into detail, but while I was growing up, I always tried to make it a goal to relieve some of the stress my mother went through. I applied myself to school very diligently. I wanted to go out of state so I wouldn’t have to depend on my mother. And L.A., where my father lived, seemed to call to me.
JACOBS: Why acting?
LUTZ: In L.A., I was meeting people who were all actors. My mind started to open up to what acting was. I didn’t realize that Brad Pitt was a real person. I didn’t think he was a robot or a machine, but I thought you were just born into acting—that it’s a family tree, kind of like NASCAR. No one can just say, “Hey, I’m going to be a
NASCAR driver.” They need to have some way in. Once I was in L.A., I realized anyone could do this. Why not give it a shot? I started going to a ton of acting classes, and I found I had a real passion for it, probably the biggest passion I’ve ever had in my whole life. So I decided to put school aside, put all my scholarships aside, put everything that I worked hard on for my mother and myself aside, and pursue this roller-coaster ride.
JACOBS: How old were you when you got the -Abercrombie & Fitch cover?
LUTZ: Eighteen. I was actually working in L.A. at an Abercrombie to make friends. I had no friends.
JACOBS: On the sales floor?
LUTZ: I was selling clothes. But I believe my personality helped, because I was the worst folder. I just couldn’t care to do it. I felt like I had ADD. I would just goof around and shoot rubber bands everywhere. Somehow the manager didn’t fire me, and I became a greeter, when you have to stand outside, you know, topless, and kind of finagle people into the store. Then Abercrombie had an audition, and my agency sent me out. I met Bruce Weber, and they chose me. I wasn’t the strongest, most fit, best-looking guy on that shoot, but somehow Bruce put me on the cover. I was just lying on the grass playing with this beetle, and they used that shot. I was still working at the store when the magazine came out two months later. I was just very lucky, and that opened up doors to acting.
JACOBS: Unlike some actors, you don’t seem to have a need to distance yourself from modeling.
LUTZ: It’s weird that the world sees modeling as a negative. It just blows my mind how many people think that because I was a model, I think I’m pretty and that I can use my looks to get ahead. I’m not pretty!
JACOBS: You really don’t think you’re pretty?
LUTZ: It’s funny when people say you have sex appeal or call you the next Brad Pitt. I just laugh. I’m not that. I don’t want to be that. “You’re a sex icon.” Why? Because I played a vampire in a movie? It’s all very unearned. If I had the best freaking abs in the world or if I looked like Brad Pitt does in Fight Club [1999], then cool, but I’m not starving myself. I eat what I want, and I’m not a workout fiend. My genetics are good, but they aren’t crazy He-Man style. I don’t get it, but I appreciate it. [laughs]
JACOBS: And sometimes you just like to go on a shirtless run with your dog, and people need to deal with it.
LUTZ: I don’t see why it’s special. I know a lot of people who run shirtless because they don’t want their clothes to get sweaty. I’m just a normal person. And I have four paparazzi who sit outside my house all day.
JACOBS: Your humility is charming, but do you ever look at other guys going up for a role and think, “I can destroy you with my good looks”?
LUTZ: I love competition. I thrive on it. I love being able to win the room over before even walking through the door. When I was going out for Twilight, I was a big guy, especially after Generation Kill. I was close to 200 pounds and just all muscle. The character description was a big, bulky fighter, a wrestler, a bear of a guy with a smile. I walked in the waiting room and I noticed nine other actors, and half of them were trying to do push-ups, and half of them were trying to be all tough. I chuckled to myself. I’m very perceptive. I love seeing guys out of the corner of my eye be like, “Great.” Because they see a guy walking in who totally looks the role. It’s funny. I don’t try to be cocky, but I’m just very confident because I know I did all of my homework. I also really love, love, love doing character pieces. I love wearing wigs to auditions, even though sometimes they don’t work. I love trying to play the not-confident guy, the guy against my normal character, because that’s when real acting comes into play.
JACOBS: So you have four very different films coming up.
LUTZ: I’ve had a great run with great projects. Especially the new ones. I love this industry. It keeps you young; it really does.
JACOBS: You’re pretty young.
LUTZ: I’ll always see myself as young at heart. I mean, I’m 25, and some people see that as getting up there.
JACOBS: Who’s telling you you’re getting up there?
LUTZ: People are saying that you can’t play high school anymore and I’m like, “Thank god.” I want to be the Jason Bourne type. I don’t want to play high school.
JACOBS: You’re unapologetic about wanting to be an action star.
LUTZ: It’s all about goals. If you just take whatever comes to you, then you’re not going to get anywhere. The more you say it around town or in meetings, it starts happening. That’s what’s going on right now. People are seeing me as the guy who wants to get hurt, who wants to break a bone, get bruises. And that’s how it was growing up with six brothers. I got beat up, and I beat up people. I have no real tattoos. I wear my bruises and tons of scars as my -tattoos. And I’ve grown up loving action movies. I’d love to work with Sylvester Stallone, and I almost had the chance to in The Expendables [out August 2010], but that didn’t work out because of scheduling. I’d love to work with him and Mickey Rourke, Matt Damon, Daniel Craig, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Jean-Claude Van Damme. . . . Bloodsport [1988] was one of my favorite movies. I feel like there’s only so many roles out there and such a surplus of actors that if you don’t have a goal, you just get lost.
JACOBS: You’ve covered your bases. You even did a Hilary Duff video [“With Love”].
LUTZ: My agent and my girlfriend at the time both wanted me to go out for the audition. There’s a quote, I think it’s Wayne Gretzky, that says you miss 100 percent of the shots you never take. That’s so true. That’s why I love going out for any audition. I’m very professional, I study my stuff, I work on it, and even if I’m not right for the job, so what? I know I did my best.
JACOBS: You keep getting roles because you’re a talented actor and you’re dedicated to what you do.
LUTZ: I’ve got a lot to learn, and I’m very blessed to work with such talented actors. I’m nowhere near my goal. It’s all about applying yourself and taking time to work and train. I want to be doing this until the day I die. I want to be in movies and working with people who push me to be a better actor. That’s what I look forward to, and that’s what’s important to me. I just want to test out all that Kellan is and push him to the limits and create new Kellans.

Blue October på Eclipse OST?
Twilight author Stephenie Meyer loves Blue October. Simple as that.
Back in June, 2008 she and Blue October announced that for Breaking Dawn’s release, she and lead singer and songwriter Justin Furstenfeld would be joining hands for a mini-tour across the United States.
Check out this video of the two of them talking about that very news, and you will see how enthusiastic Stephenie Meyer was about having Furstenfeld in her corner for the event.
The band is also featured on Meyer’s New Moon playlist for ”Sound of Pulling Heaven Down” and ”Hate Me (Radio Edit),” her Eclipse playlist for ”Overweight (Radio Edit),” and, naturally, herBreaking Dawn playlist for ”Congratulations.” (Also, the band is cited for their songs ”Ugly Side” and ”You Make Me Smile” on Stephenie Meyer’s Midnight Sun playlist.)
So, for some Twilight fans, the fact that Blue October hasn’t been included on the official soundtrack listings for Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon is a bit confounding.
Other bands frequenting Meyer’s playlist include Muse and Linkin Park who did make it onto one or more of the albums. Stephenie Meyer’s playlists have been very influential, in fact, to the soundtrack contributors listed on the albums. For instance, Collective Soul’s ”Tremble for my Beloved” was actually a part of the Twilight album, and other bands like Ok Go, Editors, The Killers, Death Cab for Cutie, and Radiohead (Thom Yorke broke out on his own from this band) all appeared on one or more of her playlists and did make it onto the album.
Aside from Blue October, there are only a handful of other bands appearing regularly on the Stephenie Meyer playlists but not on the soundtracks like Coldplay and My Chemical Romance.
According to Justin Furstenfeld’s recent interview with Blast Magazine, Blue October’s non-inclusion on the first two soundtracks might have a little something to do with the suits.
“Me and Stephenie Meyer are great friends,” Furstenfeld said. “I hate her camp, but I love her. Stephenie Meyer had the balls to take me to dinner…she said, ‘I wanna put your songs in my movies…’ and I was like, ‘Wow. That’s my dream — let’s do it.’ First movie comes out, no song. Second movie comes out, no song. Her management was like, ‘Everything we told you was a lie.’”
Pretty harsh suggestion there, huh?
At this point, no official track list for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse has been announced, so it could still be that soundtrack organizer Alexandra Patsavas was planning all along for Eclipse to host Blue October’s music . . . Let’s hope so

Kristen Stewart förklarar varför hon klippte av håret
“It was fine. I’ve worn wigs before, just not with such … I just felt such a tactile thing with Joan [that I cut my hair for the role],” she told MTV News on the red carpet of “The Runaways” premiere. “She holds all of her energy in her hands. I can be Bella without my hair, but I couldn’t play Joan without.”
And while some teenage girls would not have been too eager to chop off their locks, Stewart said she didn’t have an emotional attachment to her strands. “I think Dakota was more emotional than I was, to be honest,” she said. “She, like, almost cried when I cut my hair. It was something I needed to do. I needed to feel the sweat coming down my face and, like, I needed to be able to touch it. I just needed to do it.”

Alex Meraz i Australien
Alex Meraz was in Australia as part of the Supernova Convention. The brand new fansite, The Meraz Effect, has a rundown of Alex’s Q & A on both days that he appeared. Here’s a tidbit from day 1:
~Alex believes he walks a fine line when it comes to representing Native Americans. He says you have to be careful how you represent them.
~Julia got sick of the wolfboys continuously goofing around on set – which helped her look convincing as Leah on screen.
~His brother’s comic books were part of his inspiration for his artwork.
~If the wolfpack were superheroes, Kiowa would be the villain and his power would be height, Bronson’s power would be the ability to laugh, Chaske would have the power to fly, and Alex would have the power of speed.
~FOUR TO THE FLOOR and ON THE RUN not going to be seen anytime soon. FOUR TO THE FLOOR is being edited. ON THE RUN producers haven’t gotten back to him since casting.
~In New Moon when Paul says sorry – that was all Alex! He thought it would be weird if he just walked into Emily’s place and didn’t say anything or acknowledge Bella right after trying to attack her. Kristen backed Alex up and he got to say his line. Plus, this was his favorite scene.
Billy Burke som musik snubben
Billy Burke tweeted the other day about having a new website and seeing if he could promote a music project by not going through the (frankly in our opinion antiquated) record label system. Well, by all accounts it is a wild hit. We think the number of people hitting the site as it launched even surprised Billy. If you follow Billy on Twitter and in interviews, you know that he is a guy that doesn’t got surprised easily.
In the welcome message of his new site, Billy talks about his acting and unfortunately his much delayed music career. He also waxes on as he reminisces about the Seattle music scene of the early 1990’s when grunge was coming into its heyday and Kurt Cobain and Nirvana were leading the charge out of the bubblegum 1980’s. Billy then sums it all up by saying:
“It’s been 19 years since the Caddy sputtered into Hollywood, low on oil with a driver even lower on outlook. In those years and throughout his sometimes rosy, sometimes less than stellar career as a film and TV actor, that “driver” has continued to write songs. Songs that reflect the ongoing experience of never knowing. Songs that he hopes might speak to those with similar presentiments and with any luck, those who just dig some music.
So here, on the precipice of two decades into what was always intended to be a “duel career”, I am about to share with you what was supposed to be the FIRST half, but has now become the second…
With the exception of a couple of very special guest musicians whom I’m beyond elated to have coming in, initial tracking for my first LP is now complete. We’ve got some mixing and mastering yet to do but we’re almost there. It has been such a… treat for me to be able to work with the caliber of artists we’ve gathered to make this thing happen. Much credit and my ongoing gratitude goes to producer David Darling who saw my vision and fearlessly brought it to life as no one before ever has. I’m not gonna put any useless preconceptions out there and tell you what “kind” of music it is or who you might compare it to so…
We’re just gonna give away one of the tracks for FREE. Give it a listen. Decide for yourself. To be honest, I’m not sure how long the “freebie” will be available as I’ve gotten quite a bit of resistance to this idea, (Whatev. It’s my music, I’ll do what I want with it) so… GET ON THE LIST AND GET IT NOW. As soon as it’s ready, you’ll be emailed a copy.
In addition to the album, we’ve got some other good shit in store for the early subscribers in the months ahead. As we work out the details, you’ll be informed on how to get in on it. Don’t be shy. Leave a comment, question or unsolicited rant. I’ll be as diligent as I possibly can in responding to everyone …
At the risk of sounding all squishy and sentimental, this venture has been a long time coming for me, so I really would like to thank you all in advance for coming along…”
Don’t worry, Billy. It’s not too “squishy and sentimental” even if you are currently sporting a fine set of fully polished acrylics! We’ll be downloading and giving the music a try. Rock on!

KStew om hennes kommande film K-11
In the movie K-11, Kristen Stewart could get to work with two people she’s already really close to: Twilight co-star Nikki Reed – who’s slated to play the role of Mousey – and mom Jules Mann-Stewart.
“She’s a really well-known script supervisor and she’s co-written this drama ‘K-11,’ which she’ll direct and I will be in,” Kristen dishes.
How would you feel about taking cues from your mom while on the job? Naturally, Kristen has some qualms, but overall she’s more stoked than worried.
“If she called me right now and said, ‘We’re making the movie,’ I would be really excited. I guess my question is, ‘How would it be to work with a parent?’ We’re really close and then, at the same time, we’re creatively very different. But, I think it would be cool if it happens.”
As for her career, Kristen says her parents pretty much give her the freedom to make her own decisions. “It was like a slow wearing down of like, ‘Okay, Kristen’s going to do what she’s going to do. She’s just going to do these movies.’ Not that they were against it … I sort of didn’t care anymore. I was like, ‘Are you guys cool with this?’”

Julia Jones går barfota för välgörenhet
Toms Shoes, the company that donates one pair of shoes to needy children around the globe for every pair of shoes they sell, asked friends to go barefoot on the beach to raise awareness for the cause.
On Thursday, Toms founder Blake Mycoskie left his slip-ons at home to mark the third year of One Day Without Shoes and asked friends, including actresses Olivia Wilde (“House”) and Julia Jones (“The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”), to shed their heels at Axe restaurant and walk down Abbot Kinney to his sister Paige’s Aviator Nationboutique. The point is to drive home the message of what it would be like to spend a day barefoot as many people around the world do when they lack the means to purchase a pair.
According to Toms’ website, more than a quarter of a million people participated in 1,600 One Day Without Shoes events around the world, including the one here.
Mycoskie had biked to the office that morning wearing no shoes and had cut his foot within the first 45 minutes. “One Day without Shoes is to realize the importance of going without,” he said.
“It feels great to go without shoes, but it’s only for a day,” said Wilde, who’s about to start shooting “Cowboys and Aliens” with Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford. “It’s a brilliant way to raise awareness of children in developing countries and put yourself in someone’s shoes for a few hours.”

Melissa Rosenberg om Breaking Dawn
Dagens skämt
Intervju med Robert Pattinson Nepzava Online
And what do you like in Twilight’s Edward?
I loved the second book much more than the first, that’s when I first connected with the charac ter. You can be young or old, when you fall in love with some one at first you start to idolize her, then you put her on a pedestal, then the other is a mirror. But after a while, you see your faults in this mirror and the more you see them, the less you can bear it and in the end you destroy the love, saying you don’t need this. This is real, I can tell you that. It’s strange that a cheesy book for girls like this brought me to fame, but it happened and I won’t protest.
You became a sex symbol since then, and it’s not easy to find your soul mate now, even if you believe in them.
I’d like to believe that but I would be in trouble if I found her so soon, because I’m not mature enough so I’d probably screw up. And that other thing, being a sex symbol, no one should envy me, because 14 year old little girls admire me, it’s strange for me too. If I think about the fact that 2 years ago I couldn’t even get a date, and now every one is obsessed with me…strange.
If you gave up acting so easily, then why did you become an actor?
Accidentally. It was never in my blood, I didn’t go to acting class in school. I fell into acting because that girl I was obsessed with was there and they let me be there around the stage. They were rehearsing a musical and one day I thought that it’d be great to play the lead. I never sang before an audience but I went to the casting and although I didn’t get the role, I debuted as a Cuban dancer. Then the play was done and the good actors went away, then Thorn ton Wilder’s Our Town was chosen as the next play. And I was the only tall guy who seemed right for the role. After the premier, an agent came up to me and signed me. That agent is the reason why I had a role in Vanity Fair with Reese Witherspoon, then I got into Harry Potter. While I was doing these, I ran out of time to go to
university so I started calling myself an actor.
But you still haven’t moved to Holly wood, you still live in London, because they leave you alone there.
Can you still go down for a beer?
It depends on the district. London is a big enough city with enough pubs where they don’t give a damn about who I am.
You just have to find them. We went out recently with my friends and the waitress kept telling me that I looked like the guy from Twilight, asked me if I wasn’t his brother. But she never thought that I’d go to a laid-back pub like that. If some one recognizes me on the street, they usually look away; they are too shy to come up to me. Less fame would have been enough for me but that’s how it is and I look at the positives. Twilight opened the door for me to make movies like Remember Me and Bel Ami. I’m constantly working and the price is the crazi ness surrounds me every where I got. But every actor wants to be on screen, and if they get roles that make their hearts beat faster then it’s really worth it.
Does the hysteria around you have any effect on you?
Lon don is so different from America. I can live a normal life there and the fuss around me seems like a night mare
there. Some times I think it was just a dream and then I should quickly let it go. I can just go from one movie to the other, as if nothing happened. If I don’t care about it, then it’s simply not there.
You said it’s better to let it go?
Yes, it’s better to forget that I’m famous and act like I’m blind, I confess I’m still trying to figure out what to do with this quick popularity, because I’m scared that it will stop me from improving. Not just as an actor but as a person too. But maybe I’m wrong.
I can hear the question marks in your voice. Or am I wrong?
You hear the uncertainty, which is different from losing focus. Being uncertain is good, because you realize that you are not as stable as you thought you were and you start trying to find things to hold on to. At least this is what I realized, as my own psychologist. Those people who sit in their offices have every thing in their lives only for get to actually live. I rather vote for life and that means uncertainty at times.
Why?
Because every day has a lot more in it than what we realize. We don’t use our lives enough emo tionally. We don’t go deep enough.
I get the impression that they sent this fame thing to the wrong address.
Fame is a mythical thing, a strange value. You don’t need qualification, money, you can be born into it. Some people think that if you are famous, you have every thing that’s important in life. That’s under stand able even if I don’t agree with it, because there is no other choice to break out. My generation doesn’t want to hear that the only way to earn money is working until you are 70, if you are
lucky you don’t work for pennies, you can be a boss before retirement. My generation is greedy, people want to be rich and famous at 20. Every thing and now, that’s the key.
Not for you?
I don’t know. I would see it differently if I wasn’t famous. I never touched tabloids before and now…What they write about people, they totally destroy the performance of the actors. This whole celebrity culture is disgusting. The more famous you are, the more
tabloids write about you, the less people want to know about your movies, because what they see in the tabloids is more interesting than what they see on the screen. Actors lost that mystique. You can peek into their bed rooms, you can analyze their relationships, you can make fun of their pain, so they are not interesting on the screen any more if their lives are open books. I find it unbearable.
There’s this rumour about you that you and Kristen Stew art will be engaged soon.
This engagement thing is total bullshit, I don’t even know where it comes from. Kristen is my friend, I really like to work with her. She’s more mature than her age, a real professional, I couldn’t wish a better partner, because she makes my every move, every
sentence authentic. A big franchise like Twilight is a scary thing, because it put me on the map and I’ll have it for my whole life. So it’s important to get along with my partner, and Kris ten is the perfect partner. She sets the bar high, so I must deliver too.
But you didn’t answer my question, which means…
My only weapon for self-defense is to not care about the rumours. I concentrate on my work and on the positive sides of fame. You can’t even imagine how big it is that I don’t have to go to castings any more. They are the worst. Especially when you don’t
get the job in the end. Now I have lots of people around me, looking out for me, asking me if the script is ok with me. People say hi to me, smile at me on the street, come up to me to shake my hand. Lots of people stop me just to congrat ulate. That’s when I realize that there are so many good, nice, normal people. And they are the majority.
You still have to walk around with body guards. Does that bother you?
I only have the body guards when I’m shooting or when I have to go to some where. As long as they don’t know where I live there’s no problem. When there’s a crowd around me, that bothers me. Because when I’m shooting I wake up at 5am and by the time I
get home I don’t have the energy for any thing. I fall into the bed. I don’t really know normal life nowadays, but I can tell you which hotel has the nicer bathroom.
Sounds like you don’t have a life apart from acting.
There’s some thing in that. I have a boring life here and there, I read scripts, watch movies. And wait for the phone to ring. Once I say yes to some thing I give 100%. And since I really don’t have much of a life apart from my job, I get so lost in my actual roles, that I for get every thing out side of that. That’s how I create real characters on the screen.

Intervju med Jackson Rathbone
A lot of people are very excited about The Last Airbender. How did that shoot go?
We shot for two weeks in Greenland, which was freezing — freezing — but beautiful. You really can’t fake that. I did a month and a half of kung fu training in Los Angeles. And then I flew out to Philadelphia for another half a month of training, rehearsals, fittings and tests and everything. We were actually in Greenland for our first two weeks of shooting, then flew back to Philly for the rest of the film. It was a great experience.
Probably even more people are excited about The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. What will we see of Jasper in the next film?
We get to see a lot of his back story, which is what I’m really excited about putting out there. It’s back in the Civil War era. You see him turned into a vampire. Back when he was a human he was in the Civil War and he runs across these vampires — three beautiful women vampires — in the desert, and they turn him. And he becomes a warrior who trains these vampire armies. We see a lot of that and see a lot of Jasper’s back story, which is really cool because in Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon you could kind of see that he’s still dealing with this new way of life, especially now that his adoptive brother (Robert Pattinson) is dating a human (Kristen Stewart). And in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse you get to see why.
You seem so busy with the acting right now. You’ve produced Girlfriend and are trying to get that on the festival circuit in order to find a distributor. How concerned do you get about leaving enough time to devote to your band, 100 Monkeys?
It all depends on how many hours of sleep you want to get a night (laughs). When we did Eclipse I was filming it in Vancouver and flying to Boston on my off days to shoot Girlfriend, as well as mixing my band’s album and recording vocals for it. So I was doing three or four different things at once. It was two months of doing that. It was difficult, but at the end of the day you just sleep a little less and drink a lot more coffee.

Jacob's Blues (I'm What You Need) - Gabe Bondoc
I know he's on.. he's on your mind.
I know his name's on your lips at night.
I'm trying to show that I'm strong, I can hold you.
He's always pulling away..
I'm what you need.. but he's what you want, no, not me.
So I'll take my time and see if your love can be changed.
Can't rush the fight.. cuz I know that your heart's still in pain.
Yes he was good, but he's gone, gone for good..
You deserve someone that stays.
I'm what you need..
You.. you can stop waiting.
Please just be brave and trust me.
I'll.. I'll never leave you, he won't even see you.
Please, trust me.
Yes he was good, but he's once, gone for good..
You deserves someone that stays..
I'm what you need.. but he's what you want, no, not me.

Ashley Greene i Butter
“Twilight” regular Ashley Greene has joined the Weinstein Co. comedy “Butter.”Jennifer Garner is producing and starring in the film, based on the Black List screenplay written by newcomer Jason Micallef. Alissa Phillips and Mike De Luca are also producing the project, which director Jim Field Smith (“She’s Out of My League”) will begin filming next week in Louisiana.
“Butter” follows a number of competitive characters in a small Midwestern town as they become entwined in an annual butter-carving contest. Greene will play a rebellious high school teenager named Kaitlen Pickler. (Do I smell a sequel built around anaerobic fermentation?)
Repped by Innovative Artists and McKeon-Myones Entertainment, Greene just wrapped shooting on the Warner Bros./Dark Castle thriller “The Apparition.” She will next reprise her role as Alice Cullen in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” which Summit releases in June, and she stars in the indie drama “Skateland,” which had its world premiere at Sundance in January.

DAGENS CITAT
Jackson Rathbone - Därför älskar jag att spela Jasper Hale
As time grows closer, we are seeing more sneak peeks, interviews and merchandise appear for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. This time it’s hottie Jackson Rathbone who plays human blood thirsty Jasper Hale in the saga. Here Jackson tells about Jasper’s back story.
PW: So is it difficult then to play Jasper over the course of five films?
Jackson: The thing I like about Jasper’s arc is that it’s very developed — you don’t know much about him in the first film. He’s always in pain but don’t know why, until the second film, when you realize that he’s the newest to the family and he’s basically dying of hunger. It’s very difficult to live that vampryic lifestyle. So he’s having trouble adjusting. In the third film, we get to see Jasper’s backstory – see who he used to be and why he’s having such a hard time transitioning.
PW: So “Eclipse” will flashback to his time in The Civil War?
Jackson: Yeah. We do a little segue/backstory in “Eclipse”,when he was turned during the Civil War. We get to see his more aggressive tendencies. When you’re first turned into a vampire, that’s when you’re at your most ravenous, most vicious – so you see Jasper go through that. It was a lot of fun to bring out the darker side of Jasper.

Bill Condon som Breaking Dawn's regissör?
Hold on to your seats. There might be a light at the end of the longest tunnel in history! Not only has Bill Condon emerged as the leading man for the director of Breaking Dawn, it looks like we will possibly have two films shot back to back.
Bill Condon has emerged as the number one choice to direct the final two installments of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, I’m told. Summit Entertainment hasn’t signed him, but I’m told that after several strong meetings, they are negotiating. Condon was among a list of A-list directors approved by Summit and Twilight author Stephenie Meyer. That list included Gus Van Sant, Sofia Coppola and Fernando Meirelles. Shooting will begin in the fall, and I heard the plan is to shoot two films back to back. That was just what my colleague Nikki Finkereported. She also wrote that Summit was looking for a big director and Dreamgirls andGods and Monstersdirector Condon certainly fits that bill. Presumably, Condon would do this as his next project, and push back the picture he had planned to direct.
The Twilight job came open when The Twilight Saga: New Moondirector Chris Weitz decided not to reprise, despite directing a film that grossed $707 million worldwide., almost doubling the Catherine Hardwicke-directed original’s $385 million worldwide gross. New Moon also broke Twilight’s opening weekend DVD sale record when it moved 4 million units to the 3.8 million of the original Twilight, which went on to become 2009’s top DVD title with 9.2 million sales. David Slade helmed the upcoming installment, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which Summit releases June 30. Hollywood hasn’t given Summit its due on theTwilightpictures. Like them or not, these pictures have been better than they had to be, given the ferocious fan base. They are exciting movies with a fresh contemporary feel. That Summit keeps pushing the envelope, where director quality is concerned, says a lot in how to keep franchises engaging for fans–something that studios now readying prequels, four-quels and reboots, would be smart to emulate.

Intervju med Jackson Rathbone
Popwrap talked to Jackson rathbone about his horror flick Dread hitting DVD, but the conversation also drifted to his music and the Twilight movies.
“As someone who has been watching horror movies for the better part of his 28 years, I can’t believe I’m about to write this sentence: I found the ending of “Dread” to be so unsettling, shocking and upsetting that I nearly vomited because of the film’s last act.
Now, that will cause one of two reactions for you: either “Dread” will be bumped to the top of your NetFlix queue or removed completely. If it’s the latter, I understand, but feel bad since you will miss one of the more intriguing movies that’s ever been included in the AfterDark Horror Fest.
I recently caught up with “Dread” star Jackson Rathbone and found out that my visceral reaction is exactly why he signed up for the film in the first place. We also talked about more palatable subjects, like what “Twilight” fans can expect to see in this summer’s hotly anticipated installment “Eclipse”!
PopWrap: I’m not going to lie, this film actually made me physically ill at the end.
Jackson Rathbone: Oh, excellent. That’s what I was hoping for!
PW: When did you know “Dread” had the ability to evoke this kind of response?
Jackson: I gave the script to a friend and he said that almost made him wretch, and that’s when I knew I had to make this movie.”

Intervju med Tyson Houseman
Most actors toil early in their careers, desperately taking one job after another hoping to hit the big time. Not so for Tyson Houseman, who, in his first-ever audition scored the part of Quil Ateara, one of Jacob Black’s best friends in “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.”
He is now starring in that film’s sequel “Eclipse,” opening this June, and Houseman is on top of the world. He took a moment to sit down with The Film Yap to discuss scoring the role, how Native Americans are portrayed, and meeting people who think he’s a werewolf.
The Yap: Hi, Tyson, how are you?
TH: Good. How are you?
The Yap: Great, thanks. So how did you get connected with the whole “Twilight” phenomenon?
TH: Well, “New Moon” was the first movie I’ve done, and it was the first audition I’d even ever been to. I remember I got the part, I was looking on the internet for a job on Craigslist, and I found this job that said there was an open casting call, and it didn’t even said for “Twilight,” it just said “a major motion picture,” for a Native American, age 15-25. I thought “I fit that description, so I’ll check it out.” So I went down there, and that’s when I first realized it was for “Twilight,” because there was a lineup from the open casting call like 4 or 5 blocks long, and it was just filled with “Twilight” fans with books and t-shirts and everything, and I thought, “yep, this is probably one of the ”Twilight” films. I didn’t really expect to get anything out of it, but I went and stayed at the audition all day long, and there was only like 5 of us left, and they filmed me at the end of the day doing a scene. The next week they told me I got a callback, and I went and I did the callback, and a week later they called me and said I got the part.
The Yap: So you were batting 1.000 right out of the gate. Quite an accomplishment. You have a theater background, right?
TH: Uh, yeah. It was really just like school plays and stuff like that, though.
The Yap: Wow, so they really did just grab you out of nowhere. Have you had any difficulty adjusting to this sudden fame? You’re not exactly doing an intependent film to start off, you’re jumping right into the mania of this franchise.
TH: Not really. It was kind of a lot to handle at first. You’re right, it’s this big phenomenon thing, and it was hard for me to deal with it. I just had to tell myself, yeah, this is just crazy, but I’m still like the exact same person I was a year ago. I’m still Tyson, and it’s not really changing me personally in any way. I’m staying true to myself and staying grounded. But other than that it’s been really great, just meeting a lot of really cool people. All the fans are just so great and passionate about it.
The Yap: Have you had any crazy experiences yet? Mobs of girls, or people approaching you at weird times?
TH: Actually, there was this one time, it wasn’t even really a crazy experience or anything, but there was this woman, she looked like she was 70 or 80 years old, and she came up to me and said “are you Quil Ateara from New Moon?” It was really funny. You expect 13-year-old girls to be fans, but it ranges across ages.
The Yap: Something I want to ask quickly: being Native American, how do you feel the “Twilight” series portrays Native Americans? Do you see it as proper and respectful?
TH: I don’t know. I like the way it is portrayed. It’s portrayed accurately, and it’s very respectful. I like the whole idea that they stick to the traditions and the stories, and the ideas of how wolves came about. It’s really cool how that’s introduced. But just the lifestyle as a whole in the film and in the books, it’s accurate, and I was really proud to be a part of it.
The Yap: Speaking for your character in particular, you slowly build in to becoming a more regular presence. Can you tell me about how that has helped you?
TH: Yeah. There were a lot of similarities between what was happening to me and the character. I only had one day of shooting on “New Moon,” but I was still friends with all the other wolf guys because we worked out together so much. So it was really cool. The character himself, he was the last one to turn into a wolf, so he always felt kind of left out. They didn’t really talk to him that much. But when he turns into a wolf he’s glad to have all of his friends back. For me, I was always hearing about their stories on “New Moon,” all the fun times they had, and I kind of felt left out. So it was really cool in “Eclipse,” when I’m a wolf, I can hang out with all the guys again. It really felt similar to the character.
The Yap: Great. Your character is one of Jacob’s best friends, so I assume you spent a lot of time around Taylor Lautner, and now he’s this…I don’t want to say teen idol. My first thought was sex symbol, but I don’t want to say that either.
TH: {laughs}
The Yap: {laughs} But anyway, is that something that has happened to everyone, or more just him?
TH: As far as being a more muscley dude with the six-pack, I think that’s more affected him more prominently than the rest of us, but it’s still there for all of us. I do feel sometimes like I’ve become a symbol. There are a lot of that will come up to me, and they won’t see me as me. They’ll think my name is Quil, that I’m the character, and I’ve had some younger girls scared to come up to me because they think I’m a wolf, or something like that. It’s weird to think about it in that respect, that you’re kind of a symbol reflecting that character. But it’s still pretty cool. It’s for the fans, which is nice.
The Yap: There was something else surrounding your character and Jacob’s too later on, which is the whole issue of them imprinting on young children. It’s not as weird or creepy as it could come off. How do you see them handling that as the series progresses?
TH: I think they’re handling it really well. There are a lot of ways it could be seen as creepy and it could be misinterpreted. I get jokes all the time about how I love little kids or something like that. But the way they explain it in the books is really well-written, and they translate that really well in the movie too. The whole imprinting thing, you’ll get a really good idea of what it means, and how it’s okay that it’s a little kid when you see the movie. It’s really excellent.
The Yap: What’s the best and worst parts of being involved with this franchise?
TH: The best part is that it’s a great time. Everybody’s really friendly and nice. Me and the rest of the wolf guys are really good pals, so it’s nice we get to go to these conventions together, and see each other all the time, we get to work out together, and other films you would work with the actor, then you wouldn’t see them after that. But I get to see the other actors at Twilight conventions and stuff like that, almost every month. So it’s really cool.
The Yap: The worst thing, then?
TH: The worst thing?
The Yap: Or the most difficult thing if you want to do it that way.
TH: Well, I guess with the number of people who recognize you now it’s kind of hard to go grocery shopping or something like that.

On April 13, author Stephenie Meyer will publish the paperback edition of her best-selling sci-fi book “The Host.” Meyer, the author behind the “Twilight” series of books, will include in the coming version of “The Host” a never-before seen “bonus chapter.” “The Host,” Meyer’s first novel for adults, tells the story of body-snatching aliens who invade the earth. One of these extraterrestrials, who goes by the name Wanda, develops an unusual relationship with Melanie, the woman whose body she has taken over.
Here is an exclusive mini-excerpt from the paperback:
I’m all alone.
It’s dark. I can’t remember where I am … or why I’m here. It’s wrong that I’m alone. Where is Wanda? I can’t see to look for her. I can’t remember how to call for her. It’s silent. I can’t feel her. I can’t feel our body.
Panic starts to set in as I wait for her voice. For her to say my name. To tell me where we are. To open my eyes so we can see. I need to hear her voice — my voice, in my softest tone, my gentlest inflection.
I wait, but there is nothing. Just me and the dark.
The panic gets worse as I try to remember. Did she shut me out again? That happened once, I know, but I don’t remember it. I don’t think it was like this, panicking in the dark. It was just nothing then.
And I don’t think Wanda would do that. Because we love each other. I remember we said that. Just before …something. I try to dredge up the memory.
We were saying we loved each other.… We were saying …
Good-bye.

Self pratar med Charlie Bewley
Self magazine talked to Charlie Bewley. He shared very interesting tidbits, like the background of his character Demetri, which he made up:
“Demetri lived near Mt. Vesuvius before it erupted--when it did, it killed his family, but he was so fast, he was able to outrun the lava. He ended up in the foothills, where he was enslaved. But he kept running away from his masters, and ended up in Rome, where he became a gladiator. He had no fighting skills, instead, he just ran away from his opponents. Eventually he was blind-sided by an arrow and he went down. Then Volturi leader Aro came in, recognized his skills, and turned him into a vampire--he’s been serving the vampire guard ever since.”

INTERVJU MED BRYCE DALLAS HOWRAD
Intervju med Melissa Rosenberg
Film has an interview with Melissa Rosenberg where she discusses writing each of the Twilight movies, Dexter, and writing to meet a rating.
“LL: If an adaptation felt to you like an R rating, but the studio wanted you to bring it in at a PG-13, would that be doable?
MR: Oh yeah. It’s completely doable. You don’t sacrifice story by cutting language. Nor do you sacrifice story by showing less blood or gore, or whatever it is that’s bringing you to an R rating. It doesn’t hurt it. When Dexter was aired on CBS they had to re-cut some of it for network television and all they had to do was cut some language. There’s more blood and gore in an episode of C.S.I., though of course Dexter is more disturbing. Not because of what you see, but because of what’s implied. I don’t think you take away from suspense or character by altering a few things like that.
LL: Having read Breaking Dawn, where things get ratcheted up a notch, do you still go for that PG-13 rating?
MR: Oh yeah, absolutely. That’s your audience. In this series you don’t sacrifice anything. There are some movies that wouldn’t play at PG-13, like The Hangover, but this is just not one of them for me. Again, if you’re capturing character, emotion, and emotional journey, you’re OK.”

Eclipse Movie Tie- In Edition
Intervju med Cameron Bright
This a must read Volturi fans!!! Cameron Bright who plays Alec, brother to Jane in New Moon & Eclipse has some fun with InMovies:
Could you tell me a bit about your role in Eclipse?
My role in Eclipse? I can’t really tell you what I do or anything like that. I mean, as far as who I am, you guys know that. I play Alec. He’s one of the Volturi from New Moon and all that kind of stuff. But
you know, it’s pretty secretive, so I’m not going to be telling you
exactly what I do, ‘cause I want you guys to go and watch the movie.
Well, I’ll ask you something else then. Twilight actors often talk about feeling like you’re all part of one big family. Could you speak to that?
I wouldn’t say one big family. I’d say more like partners in crime, friends, you know. Oh, we are great buds. I’d say I’m friends with a lot of them and I’m glad I’ve met a lot of the people from this movie, but
you know, technically they’re just colleagues, right? They’re doing the
same thing as me, and that’s what I like about them.
I understand that your character has some special powers, and it seems to me like it might be a challenge to portray something that no one can see. I wonder how do you act something that isn’t visually
obvious?
If anything I cut people’s senses off, so you know, I’m the kind of guy that you don’t want to make pissed off because you won’t know what’s coming to you. But you know, it’s also a cool power when you think
about it. You know, it’s a different one. I’m not the normal, like, read
minds or anything like that. I cut off people’s senses. You want to be
able to hear? No, no you can’t. You know, that kind of stuff.
Was it challenging to get into that, into portraying that power?
Well, so far I’ve never had to use my power, so I can’t say it was hard. I can’t say it was easy, because I haven’t had to do it. But, as in portraying the character? It wasn’t hard at all, it was fun, you
know, because you get to do whatever you want with it. You know, a
book’s a book. You can picture the person in your head, but as soon as
you turn it into a movie, it’s a totally different world, because you’re
seeing it come to life. As far as my character goes, the books never
really bar him down to a certain person, you know? Like they never said
‘This is how he acts, this is what he does, yadda yadda yadda’. But it
was when I got to film in the movie they said ‘Fave fun! You’re a
vampire now. Be a vampire.’ And, nobody knows how to play a vampire,
because, has anybody met a vampire before? No. But, you know, that’s
what I like about it, [that] I can do whatever I want with it.
So how did you prepare?
I didn’t. I just showed up and did whatever I wanted.
Did you have any inspiration?
No. Preparation for me on set is fairly easy. I don’t really go through a lot of things, and I don’t do a lot of exercises with my lines or anything. I show up and I just get it done. I don’t know, it’s hard
to explain. You know, I’ve been doing it for two thirds of my life, and
it’s just what I do now. I know when I, I know how to, what’s the word? I
know how to analyze a character and just…it’s one of those things that
you just do. Hard to explain.
Okay. Fair enough. So…
But, everybody does it differently, and I just, I just show up on set and you know, the director will say, ‘This is how I want you to see it, this is how…’ You know, it’s a process. Like, you don’t just step into
the room and automatically do it. There’s so many things that go into it
and you’re playing off people and luckily in this movie, I’m playing
off people like Dakota Fanning and Michael Sheen…[and] they just make it
so much more easier. And the people on set are so nice, and a lot of
them are friends. Like Daniel I knew before, and Chris is great. All
they do is joke around on set. I mean you’re joking around, it’s a job.
It’s not the set of this huge movie, it’s just another set. You show up,
you have fun, you do what you do, and that’s how I see it.
Who’s your favourite Twilight character?
Twilight character period? I don’t know. To be honest with you, from seeing New Moon, I like Michael Sheen’s character. That’s because he’s nuts, and I like crazy people. Crazy people are some of the best in the
world. You know, you have the most interesting conversations with crazy
people. And, so his character I really like.
If you were Bella, who would you choose?
If I was Bella, who would I choose? Oh, I’m gonna have to say I’d go with the body, most likely. For me I’d go with the body, so it’d be Jacob.
You’re a man after my own heart. Me too.
I know you did a lot of work with Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. Could you feel any chemistry on set between the two of them?
No. I mean, there’s always chemistry between any guy and girl who are friends, but as far as the chemistry between those two? I had so many people asking that…No! Personally it’s not my business so I stayed out
of it. They said ‘Oh, don’t say anything about Rob and Kristen’, and I
basically told them straight out, ‘You don’t have to worry about me
talking about other people’s lives, I’ll talk about mine but I won’t
talk about anybody else’s, you know?’ But as far as them, they looked
like friends, and that’s all that I can say. They joked around just as
much as anybody else did, and we all had fun.
Were you intimidated by Taylor Lautner’s pecs?
Was I…pardon me? By his pecs? (laughs) Oh no. Vampires aren’t supposed to look nice. They’re supposed to look mean. You know what I said? ‘Cause I’m friends with all the wolf pack, and whenever we go to
Twilight conventions that’s what they always say—all the werewolves are
like ‘You know what? We have the body.’ But at the end of the day, dogs
are a man’s best friend, and diamonds are a girl’s best friend.

10 saker du inte visste om Robert Pattinson
You might remember last week that I posted a cartoon of Rob by Mexican magazine Quién. Here’s the complete article available on their latest issue (April 2nd), titled 10 Things You Didin’t Know About Robert Pattinson. That explains the cartoon and all the items in it!
Here’s the translation of the article. There are some tiny inaccuracies, but I’ll point them out for you, nothing too big.
1. He modeled for a while and in 2007 he was part of Hackett’s Fall capmpaign.
2. He’s afraid of the dark and can’t sleep without a night light.
3. He plays the piano and the guitar. He played two songs for the Twilight soundtrack, but his name is not in the credits. (Yes, it is! But only one of his two songs is on the actual album)
4. He loves hamburgers and Coke, and if he’s having a bad day, he asks a fan out. (Um, we wish! He only asked a fan out once, in Spain, before he became a huge star, while he was filming Little Ashes. He’s never done it again, he thinks he bores girls. As if!).
5. He prefers public transportation or walking, because he hates driving and even dislikes taxis.
6. He doesn’t play soccer, but he’s a fan of Arsenal.
7. When he was 12 his sisters used to dress him up as a girl and introduce him as Claudia.
8. He misses open mic sessions with his friends (the magazine actually says it’s karaoke, but it’s actually open mic nights at bars). But he’s so afraid to do it again because he doesn’t want to end up on Youtube.
9. He said that the most important being in his life is his dog Patty, a westy that has been with him for years. (Patty died over a yearago, but we only learned that recently).
10. He dislikes sports, but he likes darts, which he considers excercise.

Allt om den nya boken - The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner
Läs resten här!An “Eclipse” Exclusive:
If you’ve only been watching the “Twilight” movies or read the first two books, don’t be shocked that you have no idea who Bree Tanner is. In fact, don’t be upset if you read “Eclipse” and still have no idea who she is. Tanner is a character introduced a startlingly short amount of time before she dies in “Eclipse” and could be considered (to everyone except Stephenie Meyer) to be a throwaway character.Dramatic Death Scene:
It turns out Tanner isn’t the best newborn vampire among them all, and she isn’t a big fan of killing innocents and drinking their blood. She tries to join forces with the Cullen clan and adapt to their “vegetarian vampire” lifestyle, but ends up being killed by Felix on the orders of Jane, a member of the Volturi guard (played by Dakota Fanning in the film), in the final battle.Seattle:
The trouble with the first-person perspective of “The Twilight Saga” is that the reader can’t read what is happening firsthand beyond what Bella Swan sees with her own eyes. Much like “Midnight Sun” gave (some) of the details behind what happened elsewhere in “Twilight,” “The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner” will show what happened in Seattle with Victoria during “Eclipse.” But since much of “Eclipse” is devoted to the characters wondering what exactly was going on in Seattle, seeing it through the eyes of a secondary character like Tanner is a smart companion piece to the book.Unseen First Life:
Unfortunately for Tanner, the world will never know what happened to her before she became a vampire. She was introduced into “Eclipse” after she was a newborn and “The Short Second Life” will start off the same way. There is a chance of flashbacks telling about her life before becoming a vampire, but the way Meyer described the novella on her Web site made it seem as though Tanner was the narrator solely so the reader could see what went on in Seattle, not to learn her past.
Intervju med Robert Pattinson
The 23-year-old actor has become a global superstar after playing brooding vampire Edward Cullen in Twilight, but his latest film is indie flick Remember Me, which he revealed stood out from the hundreds of roles he has been offered.
Robert said: “I never like anything, so it’s quite easy to decide what to do – I’ve never felt any pressure to do anything, particularly. Even when we were shooting it [Remember Me] I never thought about the box office.”
He added: “I had read tonnes and tonnes of scripts over the summer after I did Twilight, I mean hundreds, and everything seemed exactly the same.
“But this one, the way the dialogue was written, it just seemed much more naturalistic than most things.
“It’s not really a feel-good movie. They don’t make movies like it anymore, I think that’s how I kind of choose stuff, that’s the only criteria I have. There seems to be a gap in the market for something and I just try and do that.”
Robert hopes his Twilight fans like the new film but revealed he would never appear in a film simply to please an audience.
He said: “Obviously you hope people like things but I think if you start doing stuff to please a certain audience then you’re going in the wrong direction. I mean, you don’t even know the people you’re trying to please, especially if you’re trying to please whole swathes of people.
“I hope they like it.”
Remember Me is released on Friday April 2.
