”I would never get used to something like that, [standing up] in front of a room full of people that you respect. You feel so small, not in a bad way, but it’s such an extreme dose of perspective to stand up there and speak to these people.”

Does this mean the start of even bigger things?
”The list of nominees was so substantial, it’s nice to acknowledge people who are doing cool things. It’s truly humbling and such an honour, but I don’t think it’s going to suddenly get me my next big job.”

The next night you were named woman of the year…
”You go from the Baftas to the Elle Style Awards – winning Woman of The Year at 19, which is just an insane concept, so I am pretty overwhelmed.”

You play Joan Jett in your new movie, why did you choose that role?
”I was a fan of Joan’s music but I didn’t know about The Runaways, and that was one of the reasons I wanted to do the film because I think people my age are fairly unaware of them. And they sort of kick-started females playing more hardcore rock and roll and not being told to quiet down and dull down their aggression.

Anna Kendrick: Yes, I danced when I was a little kid. And sang all of the time, too, and I was just one of those kids that wanted to perform and wanted to be on stage. And when you’re six you just want to jump around and then when I was about 10 I still really wanted to do it, to sing and dance and I was lucky enough to have parents who treated me with an incredible amount of respect for a 10 year old girl. They really listened to me - even when that 10 year old was telling them that she really wanted to be on Broadway. They supported me and let me take a real run at it and I’ll be forever grateful to them.

But you don’t come from a family of actors do you?

Anna Kendrick: No, my Mom was an accountant and my Dad was a teacher.

Did you see a lot of Broadway shows yourself as a kid?

Anna Kendrick: You know, honestly, it wasn’t as though I went to New York and saw a Broadway show and thought that’s what I wanted to do. It was more of an idea - just the idea of being on stage in front of real theatre fans.

The amount of work Taylor Lautner has been reeling in has been very impressive.  It’s not too surprising that two of his hottest projects came into conflict with each other.  According to New York Vulture, Taylor has had to scrape his plans to play Max Steel and is now just focusing on the Stretch Armstrong project.  The whole things boils down to Hasbro vrs Mattel.  In the end, Hasbro has the better track record and thus sealed the deal with Taylor.

From the article: Explained one insider familiar with Lautner’s decision: “When you sign up to make a movie with Hasbro, you know it will be in theaters a year later.”

Nikki Reed went to the Burberry fashion show in London & E! Online got some great details from our Rose:

”It takes a lot of balls, no pun intended, to stand and pose like that,” Reed said. ”I wouldn’t have the guts to stand there naked like that.”

Unless, she added with a laugh, ”I looked like Eva Mendes.”

Reed, however, wasn’t as chatty about Breaking Dawn. ”We’re making it, I do know that,” she said. ”It is happening. As for an exact date, I don’t know.”

Asked if it’s going to be made into two flicks, she teased, ”I do know the answer to that.”

FIRST LOOK: Kellan Lutz & Dog Kola’s Pet Adoption Ad

Twilight star Kellan Lutz has always been very vocal about his love for rescue pups Kola and Kevin. But now, the actor is taking the cause of animal adoption to a national platform, serving as PETA’s latest spokesperson in their ”Adopt, Don’t Buy” campaign.

Shot by celebrity photographer Collin Stark, the advertisement features Lutz posed with his first dog, Kola. ”She’s my best friend,” he tells PETA in an exclusive interview. ”There are countless numbers of animals out there. It’s our job to take them under our wing.”

Lutz explains that he found Kola in a shelter, curled up and frightened in the back of a cage. ”I touched her toe and said, ‘Hey, what’s your name?’ ” he recalls. ”She spoke to me.” Warned that she was a puller, Lutz decided to walk her anyway, and knew then that he’d found the one. ”From that day on, I loved her,” he says.

According to PETA, about 8 million unwanted dogs and cats enter shelters every year — and half of them are euthanized due to space issues. ”There are surprisingly many animals in these shelters,” Lutz says. ”It’s sad, and knowing that they get euthanized. For the fans of Twilight out there who have so much love, give that love to a pet if you don’t have one.”

“Max Steel” – The first post-”Twilight” starring role to break for Taylor, this proposed action series would star Lautner as the incarnation of a Mattel toy. Although the stunts would play into his wheelhouse, the character couldn’t be any more different from Jacob Black: Josh McGrath is a 19-year-old extreme sports star accidentally exposed to a swarm of microscopic nanomachines that give him superhuman powers. Fighting against super-powered villains, he reemerges as Max Steele, a seeming hybrid of Xander Cage, “The Six Million Dollar Man” and Cody Banks. Although the character is little-known in the states, he is based on a CGI-animated show that ran a few years ago, and if Lautner’s movie is a hit it could possibly spawn a franchise.

“Cancun” – Overseen by “Twilight” producer Wyck Godfrey, this flick is being targeted as Taylor’s first chance outside of the “Saga” to showcase the impressive martial-arts skills he’s been honing since before he had body hair. Lautner plays a teenager who takes off to Mexico for spring break with some buddies — but when a drug cartel kidnaps his girlfriend, it’s time to kick some ass and ask questions later. Unfortunately, Taylor is signing up for so many projects — with two “Breaking Dawn” films still likely this fall — that something might have to go, and “Cancun” could be that film. But if not, Taylor should start stocking up on the sunscreen, immediately.

“Stretch Armstrong” - Possibly the most promising of Taycob’s upcoming films, this rubbery character has been flirting with Hollywood for so long that such folks as Jackie Chan, Tim Allen and Danny DeVito were attached to play him around the turn of the century. Taylor signed on at the beginning of this month for the action movie — which will be made in 3-D and likely hit theaters in 2012. A mix between Reed Richards, Plastic Man and James Bond, Stretch is an uptight secret agent who takes an elongating concoction that makes him a superhero — but gives him hard-to-control superpowers. Based on the goofy elastic toy that every kid in the ’80s owned and every dog loved to chew, “Stretch Armstrong” will likely hit theaters after “Max Steel” and could also potentially become a franchise. It remains to be seen whether his weiner-dog sidekick Fetch Armstrong will also make the big screen.

“Abduction” - Imagine that when you’re drinking your next carton of milk, you look on the side at the picture and see … yourself? That’s the ripe premise behind this thriller, the latest film that Taylor has signed on to do. In the film, he plays a young man who realizes he has been living a lie when he discovers his own baby picture on a missing persons Web site. As he sets out to determine the truth behind his origin story, Taylor will aim to bring the thrills as fast as he did that six-pack for “New Moon.”

So I’m asked to be on the Orange rising star award jury after winning it last year and I’m glad to do that. We (The Jury) watch a hell of a lot of films and after weeks and weeks come up with the final five people and they’re announced.

Then of course Lots of other people chime in with their opinions about who should be on there, because there’s always people who think they know better, but that’s fine too, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

People want Tahar to win, they love A Prophet (I do too, it’s a great movie). People want Carey to win (She is brilliant in An Education, if you like the film or not). People want Jesse to win (He carries Zombieland and is great in everything he does) People want Nick to win, he has a huge following, is british, possibly the best young actor full stop and is gonna go far. And of course people want Kristen to win… But the only difference with her was this… As many people who wanted her to win, there were equally vocal people who absolutely didn’t want her to win. The other nominees didn’t have that animosity against them.

I said nothing. I couldn’t. I wasn’t allowed (and as most people know Nick Hoult is like a little brother I wouldn’t minded if he won. P.S that is not why he was nominated. he is that good) So why does it all bother me? Two reasons.

Firstly: I know how that feels. Last year although loads of people wanted me to win, because my films don’t seem worthy to a lot of vocal people, there were a lot who were saying. “I don’t care who wins as long as it’s not him”.

Even after winning I still have to deal with comments like this.

“Nonetheless, she was very charming when interviewed backstage and told that previous winner Noel Clarke was ‘passing the baton on’ to her. Presumably, this baton represents starring in quite small British films that no-one outside of this soggy island has ever heard of for a relatively small fee, so I guess she has a lot to look forward to”.

Anyway… Secondly: It’s not fair on her. Life isn’t fair, but her dislike is unfounded. The girl is actually a brilliant actress and people are only hating on her because every piece of great acting work that she has done has been eclipsed by the juggernaut that is twilight… Lets be honest, that’s what it’s really about isn’t it? People not liking her because she stars in those films that do so well and they are not considered worthy by the snobs. Personally, I don’t mind em. They ain’t the godfather, (Neither was AVATAR) but they’re entertaining.

Adulthood- (my film that won me the bafta http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1126596/ for those who don’t know it. And this is me for those new here or not aware of me before sunday http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0164929/ ) -was one of the highest grossing BRITISH FILMS of 2008, 1^st or 2nd. But you wouldn’t know that because people don’t want you too, then it got ignored everywhere apart from BAFTA. Not that I would ever compare my films to anything Kristen Stewart does. But why hate on a person because they are doing well? It makes no sense. Also she was cast in that film because of her talent. That’s how films like that are cast. Not everyone thought it would blow up like it did and so what that it has? She is actress who took a role. That’s what actors do.

So we end up at the BAFTAS. The British academy awards. I step on the stage, do my little speech and read the envelope. “Kristen Stewart” She comes up does her speech and leaves.

We go back stage, exchange a few words while walking to Edith, then do the interview. Then we go round the front and take the pictures. It’s Madness. Hundreds of bulbs flashing and everyone wanting a piece of this girl. We have a couple more words. I tell her well done again and I leave.

So what did I get from our little chat and the hand on the shoulder in the pic. And these are my opinions only. I got a sense of a lovely, nervous and shy girl who respected the other actors she was up against and was a bit overwhelmed by winning. More importantly than that, I see a girl got into this acting job because she wants to actually act and play different roles. There is a difference between wanting to act and wanting to be a star.

It’s difficult at any age when you can’t go anywhere with out people wanting a piece of you, and she is still young. People who said she was weird on stage, well… I don’t really agree. It’s a little daunting up there, I would love to see some of her detractors get up in front of 2000 or so people with only your name as notice, (she didn’t know she was getting it) and half of those people be people that do the same job as you and are looking at you from head to toe, and all you want to do is just not fall over. It’s not easy.

In closing, don’t have a bad word to say about Ms Stewart. And there is no agenda here, I’m not kissing anyone’s ass. I don’t do that… I’m not getting anything for this, I don’t profess to know her because of our one meeting, I’m not on her radar, probably won’t get to work with her and I may never see her again, But she was genuinely a really, very nice girl, and being on the jury I had to watch almost every movie she’s done, that we could get our hands on from the last few years and the girl can fucking act, there is no question about that.

So. Would i have liked Nick to win..? Sure.

Am i upset that Kristen won? No way.

Did she deserve to win? Yeah she did, and i’m glad she did.

She was talented enough for us jury members to put her there in the first place and the public support her the most. Done deal.

She may be a Mega star now, but she is still a rising star in terms of where her career is going, because just being in a blockbuster doesn’t make you a good actor. The girl is talented and has made some smart choices beyond the big movies.

So mark my words… If anyone will be known for much more than twilight in about 20 years time, it’ll be her.

"I was looking for raw," says Sigismondi, who has directed videos for the likes of Marilyn Manson, The White Stripes, David Bowie, Björk, The Cure, and Interpol. "This very short period of time held a big place in all of their lives. It was a very delicate thing, but it wasn't all heartfelt. There was anger. There was resentment. There was sorrow. They were breaking new ground. They were taking risks. They were doing things that brought them up against walls." I recently spoke to Jett-creator of some of the greatest-of-all-time anthems like "Bad Reputation" and "I Love Rock 'n' Roll" and who, with her manager, Kenny Laguna, executive-produced The Runaways-about what it was like to see her youthful triumphs and excesses (including some steamy scenes with Currie) on screen. "Joan Jett-she's just one of a kind, and has never veered from her path," Sigismondi says. "She's gone out there and said, ‘This is who I am.' And she's still doing that."

EVELYN MCDONNELL: How is it for you to watch The Runaways?

JOAN JETT: It's pretty surreal. It's hard to judge, hard to have some distance from, but I'm working on it and it's getting better. It's not painful for me to watch, so I think that's a good sign. The only part that's painful is that I go, "Oh, man, I'd like to do it again and really pay attention." Not that I wasn't paying attention back then, but you don't realize sometimes when you're in moments how special they are until they're gone.

Good for her! Actress Rachelle Lefevre, who was famously given the ax from the Twilight series as Victoria, has found a new gig on primetime! Rachelle will star in the currently untitled, John Wells‘ produced medical drama for CBS about a team of traveling medical professionals who go all over the U.S. to help patients. She will play Katy, ”a smart and confident medical road warrior who’s more comfortable working the field than in the office.” Amy Smart will also be joining her in the cast. We’ve had our fill of medical dramas, but they’re usually a hit with the older crowd — especially on CBS. But either way we’re happy for Rachelle!

"Yeah, I'm going," Stewart just told me when I asked if we'd be seeing her on March 7 at the Academy Awards. "Me and Taylor are going to present."

Stewart admitted she's very nervous.

"I've been looking at shoes," she said. "I'm trying to pick shoes that I know I won't fall down in."

I chatted with Stewart at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, where she'd been holed up for most of the day promoting her new drama, The Yellow Handkerchief, with costars Eddie Redmyane, Maria Bello and William Hurt.

In a couple of days, she'll be in London for BAFTA's Orange Awards, where she's a Rising Star nominee.

"I feel so funny about it," Stewart said. "Really cool people have won, and really cool people are up for it this year. And I know a few of them, like Jesse [Eisenberg] and Carey [Mulligan]."

As well, A Single Man star Nicholas Hoult and French actor Tahar Rahim round out the list.

Stewart thinks it's Rahim's award to win.

"I can't even actually think about that," she said, covering her face. "If I win, I'm gonna be like, 'Carey, Jesse, suck it up—'cause I think Tahar should have won.' "

”I have been told to be ready for November,” Kristen Stewart tells me. ”I mean, it looks like a ‘yes,’ but it’s still not concrete.”

Stewart believes the story in the fourth book in the Twilight series ”absolutely warrants”being two films. ”It would be hard to cram all of it into one movie,” she said earlier today while promoting her new drama The Yellow Handkerchief.

Things have certainly changed since Stewart and Robert Pattinson signed on for the first flick…

”We didn’t even know we were going to make a second one,” Stewart said. ”We were just like, ‘It’s really cool. It’s different and we’ve never seen a love story like this.’…I thought it would just be another cool Catherine Hardwicke movie.”

And just because Stewart doesn’t like her private life being examined and the overzealous paparazzi that come along with the fame that doesn’t mean she resents—in any way!—theTwilight phenomenon. ”But I can’t say I don’t want that, because people take it to the extreme and say that I hate it,” she explains. ”No, no, no! That’s not true.”

Eddie Redmayne, Stewart’s Handkerchief costar who also happens to be one of Pattinson’s old pals, admits it’s been ”surreal” watching his friends become two of the world’s, well, most famous stars.

”When we were at Sundance with Yellow Handkerchief, Kristen was like, ‘I’m going to go do this film with Rob Pattinson,” Redmayne remembered. ”I was like, ‘I know Rob!’ and Kristen said, ‘What’s he like?’”

In Handkerchief, Stewart and Redmayne play teenagers who befriend an ex-con William Hurt who is looking for his ex-wife Maria Bello.

Stewart and Redmayne share a kiss in the flick. I ask Stewart if she really meant it when she told my pal Elizabeth Snead at Zap2it that Mr. Redmayne was a better kisser than Mr. Pattinson.

Redmayne tried answering for her. ”A slightly off-the-beaten-path person against the most handsome vampire in the world?” Redmayne said. ”I will take my hat off to Rob on that one—and his skin shines!”

”

But his skin doesn’t shine in the real world,” Kristen quickly fired back. ”You’re in the real world.”

And just because Stewart did her own singing playing Joan Jett in next month’s The Runaways, don’t expect her to be following in Pattinson’s footsteps by recording a song for aTwilight soundtrack.

”I love being an actor,” she explained. ”I would totally play another person in a band, but Kristen is not going to be in a band.”

“‘Eclipse’ will be awesome,” he reveals. “It’s actually my favorite book in the series. We’re introducing a lot of new characters. The vampires and the werewolves expand. There is a new breed of vampires. I know that all-out war breaks out. It’s going to be really fun. A lot of my cast mates worked really hard in training to do a lot of the acrobatic stuff.”

When asked about Breaking Dawn, Mike admitted “I don’t know if I’ll be in that. Not sure yet. I hope so though.”

The Twilight Movie- Eclipse is set to be released on June 30, 2010. Normally there would be numerous trailers- official and unofficial all over the internet. However, Summit Pictures who produces the Twilight Saga movies has different plans for this movies trailers. The first trailers are to be released on ONLY the Wal Mart The Twilight Saga: New Moon Ultimate Fan Edition to be sold on Saturday, March 20th.

The trailer will be 7 minutes comprised of interviews with creator Stephenie Meyer as well as the movies three main stars- Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson, and Kristen Stewart. There are rumored to be other clips but that there will be a substantial and important scene included in the trailer.

MTV’s Larry Carroll recently talked to Mike about Anna’s recent Oscar nomination for Best Support Actress for her role in Up in the Air.

“There are a lot of people in this that are capable of the kind of work that could lead to an Oscar nomination,” he said of the immensely popular series. “It doesn’t happen to many actors.”

“Anna deserves it. She has an uncanny ability to get under the skin of her characters,” Michael said of the “Up in the Air” actress, who plays Jessica Stanley in the “Twilight” films. “She really seems to understand the mindset of the girls she plays.”

“It’s almost as if she starts out with clichés that we are all familiar with, then builds the character by figuring out their world view, making them unique and personal and therefore turning them from clichés into real people,” he marveled. “Her characters are familiar, but one of a kind. It’s remarkable.”
